Getting tiresome....like no one else schedules 'weak' teams.

The conference whose schedule starts the 2nd week....

They do it for several reasons....

To give their team a rest after 3-4 long weeks of tough football which helps the team heal up.

and to give the 2s and 3s some real game time playing, not just the victory formation.

To see if they can keep intensity up no matter who the play.

That's what I say!! The ncaa carries a lot of blame here when they ruled that one FCS win could be counted towards bowl eligibility. Gotta fill all those bowl spots w/as many 6-6 teams as possible. Heaven forbid some 5-7 teams make it.

Or bring the bowl number down a bit and make a winning season a prerequisit....
