Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity. Jerry Jones has it.

poor JJ... he got the team in this mess with his bonehead decisions and clearly lacks the football knowledge to get them out. we are stuck here and the worst part is getting to listen to JJ rationalize his mistakes.

the more he talks, the more his senility shows.
Lets call it like it is....
Jones has ONLY had success as a result of hiring very good coaches. His lessor hires have been crap.
When he had Jimmy, they won 2 titles and Switzer won another with Jimmy's guys.
After he finally nabbed a legit coach in Bill Parcells, the Boys started winning again and candidly, most of the "stars" on this team are as a result of Bill....IE : Romo, Austin, Ware, Witten.
My point to this is, if Jerry would hire a big name coach and pay dearly for him, the rest will sort out because that coach does influence the decisions of who gets signed and drafted vs who doesn't.
In the last few seasons, the drafts have been ok with Dez, Sean Lee, Claiborne, and Murray being nabbed but the coaching has not lived up to what is needed.
Bottom line, Jerry is going NO WHERE but if he will hire a Jon Gruden, Bill Cowher or Mike Holmgren, then, maybe the coaching can get more out of this group and make tweaks where it is necessary.

Unless Stephen can talk some sense into his fool of a dad, they are going nowhere!!

Jerryspeak is of a language entirely of its own. There is no deciphering it, or understanding it....for the most part. He tends to speak in an alien tongue when he mixes blood with his alcohol. If anyone has ever been under the influence, and most of us have at one time or another, and did some jabbering, they make perfect sense to themselves, but to anyone listening, they're mainly a blathering fool.
As long as Jones lets his whiskey talk for him, this team will stay mired in mediocrity, I'm afraid. It's like he's 10 foot tall and bullet proof, so to speak.

Jerry Jones Petition: Dallas Cowboys Fans Want Obama Administration To Remove Owner
We, the Citizens of the Great State of Texas, and Dallas Cowboys fans worldwide, have been oppressed by an over controlling, delusional, oppressive dictator for way too long. Request the Executive Branch???s immediate assistance in removal of owner and GM, Jerry Jones. His incompetence and ego have not only been an extreme disappointment for way too long, but moreover, it has caused extreme mental and emotional duress.

He is bulletproof because he has an incredibly profitable franchise and owns a team that has a value multitudes higher than what he paid for it.
As a business man, he is awesome.
As a GM, he sucks.
I love Jerry because he tries and will pay dearly.
I hate him because he is not a good judge of talent.
And his coaching choices are worse.
He gets a real coach, he will get wins.

BG, appreciate the sentiments, but after 17 years, we've gotten somewhat used to it....or at least I have. I've been waiting for this train to completely derail for quite some time.
Put it this way. The 07 season when they went 13-3 was their best opportunity to at least go to a SB, They should have went 15-1 (the one loss to NE), but partying and vacations were of the utmost importance. That right there showed me what Jones is all about. Romo and the other players are just that....players.
Jones has said on record that "even negative attention is good for the Cowboys".............I could go on and on with his ridiculous statements, but I don't think I need to. JOnes has turned his franchise into a laughing stock..... They are now on # 8 of the "500 coaches that could coach the Cowboys"....just another 492 to go.
~Sigh~

I read that...............hahahahahahaha!
I came to the conclusion that this is likely an attempt to publicly humiliate Jones, which is futile. He may see and read it, but nothing is going to change. If all the idiotic things he's said and done over the years hasn't changed him, this won't either, but it's a good try.
It's original anyway.

I have to agree with you, Jeff, although I won't go so far as to say "I love him", but he does have good business acumen. His ego needs deflating badly.

I know.
They've been going downhill since 07. I'm surprised they haven't done any vacations since then. I expect some more "Campo years" for the near future.

You're right.
But, let me explain how I see things. Jerrah has this great big palace there, and he provides the entertainment. All of these people with more money than sense come there to party, be seen and rub elbows. Most likely couldn't care less about any football games going on. Jerry sits in his booth, because he knows the cameras will be panning on him on and off, unless he gets the urge to be down on the sideline, where folks can see him up close.
But, his fortune 500 friends are all up in the executive areas, drinking and partying, having a dandy good time, and likely making business deals. They couldn't give a rat's a/s/s whether the Cowboys win, lose, or draw.
Getting people to boycott will take a lot of persuasion. Anyone who shelled out 13k for seasons tickets ( I have no clue as to what those cost, but just making a point) are going to use them regardless, because if they use them, then it's money NOT thrown away, and may be a tax write off?....I don't know.
But, I don't think he cares about normal fans. This is just the way I look at it, and not necessarily the truth.
