Although I agree that the choice should have a "happy" ending, I believe SI missed the boat completely on this. The OBVIOUS choice is Lance Armstrong (Think TIME magazine, and it's choice of Adolf Hitler as "Man of the Year"), and his DEVASTATING fall from grace. Then again, I wouldn't expect SI to have the guts to choose a past recipient of this award, who had fooled so many people....including Sports Illustrated.
