NFL  > General NFL  > Niners vs Patriots

It is hard to imagine that New England will be able to do to the Niners' D what they did against Houston. If they do, I'll just say it, hand them the victory. I believe the Niners pose a much different offensive threat than the Texans. And one that will have more success than the Texans. Though that wouldn't be saying much. If the Patriots allow the 49ers to score 24, I say they lose. I have a feeling that the statement New England made the other night will be echoed by the 49ers this week.

Look for a convincing 49er victory and a beautiful red and gold avatar being worn by the infamous Mother Marge........

Might be a little let down for the Pats after last weeks victory. But they are tough at home in December too. Should be a great game if both teams show up!

Avi bets are always fun. Jim and I would have one but when both teams suck, what's the point? Ha!

Pats got to be favored if just for home field. West coast teams in general seem to struggle in the east, don't know why, maybe the time change? Still you just never know, should be a good match

Definitely the time change. When they play at home it's 1pm. But when they play on the road it's 10am. Totally throws the pregnant routines off etc.

But the Niners have played pretty well on the east coast this year I think. Have to look to be sure... With so much on the line I hope they play great and give us a better game than the one we all looked forward to last Monday!

It is a night game so the pregnant routine should go smoothly.

The fact that it's a night game helps to overcome the jet lag issue. The weather is supposed to be inclimate. That usually doesn't hurt the Pats. It could hurt the Niners. The more mobile quarterback could help to offset the Niners' disadvantage. The Pats will try to run the ball down the Niners' throats. I expect big games from Willis, Bowman and Goldson. If not, it will be a long day for the guys in crimson and gold.

Bill Walsh- " Give me 21 first downs and 28 points in a game and I'll guarantee you a victory 99% of the time. "
