NFL  > San Francisco 49ers  > Go Vikings!

Our only hope is for the Vikings to beat tha Packers. If not, the Seahawks will play the Niners in the first round. Which I don't like.
December 23, 2012  11:17 PM ET

What happened to my team today? Why are they playing this poorly? Is Seattle this much better than the Niners? They can't stop a nosebleed. It was well into the third quarter before I knew Seattle had a punter on their roster. He only made on appearance. This is desheartening.

Oh Duke I have to hope for the Packers to beat the Vikings otherwise the Bears hopes of any playoff aspirations are done. Not that it matters as they would probably lose their first game but I have to count on our rival Packers to beat the Vikings and the Bears to win in Detroit or it's curtains for the Bears.

Tough game Duke. Maybe a let down after last Sundays game?

December 24, 2012  01:38 AM ET

I'm more worried about beating Arizona and winning the NFC West. The 49ers were pitiful in Seattle in every aspect of the game except kickoff returns by LaMichael James.

As for who the 49ers will play in the playoffs-- they will play either Chicago or NYG's @ San Francisco in the 1st round or they will get a first round BYE, sure they could face Minnesota but that would require Minnesota, Chicago and NYG's all losing next Sunday- I doubt that will happen.

There are 2 major questions; Can Chicago beat Detroit, or, Can Minnesota beat Green Bay? The whole final seed of the Wild Card will be settled if Minnesota which has come all this way having beat Chicago, and won @ St.L, @Houston a loss in any of those games they would face elimination- they have cleared all those hurdles and now must beat Green Bay to get a lock on #6 seed or have both Chicago and NYG's lose if they should lose to Green Bay. If they win that game they will then have to go to Green Bay and play them again the following week.

I want to see San Francisco, Minnesota, Chicago and NYG's all win next Sunday.

Chicago played @ St.L , and next week they will be @ Detroit, if they beat Detroit and Green Bay beats Minnesota, Chicago would win the #6 seed and have to play its 3rd road game in a row in San Francisco.

The 49er season is reminding me of last year- they stay pretty healthy for most of the season and now are facing tons of injuries almost every week.

Seattle just looked like the better team last night.

We Bears fans need the Packers to beat the Vikings and the Bears need to beat the Lions or our season is done.

looked like a lot of ''top-teams'' performed horribly yesterday [niners, pats, giants, texans, pitt]......must be the ''injury-bug'' that's catching-up with most team down the stretch .,.....patriots were lucky to beat the jags too.

So true. I couldn't believe the Pats being saved by the clock, the Giants not showing up after getting o-fer'd last week, Big Ben being the goat instead of the savior and the Texans not even scoring a touchdown. Such a strange week.

It's been a very strange year. The Cowboys played like clowns for the better part of the year, then come on like gangbusters, and even after losing to the Saints, still can win the NFC East by winning against Washington next week.

Who'd have thunk any of this? Same with Pittsburgh, NYG, etc.

Yeah - Romo turned into Mr. December instead of Mr. November, didn't he?

I love the fact that the NFL changed the schedule so that there are more divisional games in week 17. There are a lot of games next week that mean something. Going to be an exciting end to a crazy season.

Looks like it........lol

Now, since this is the season where most "contending" teams (insert any team here) suffer more than their fair share of injuries, I'd like to see a non injury season next year and see how that plays out. I know, I know..........that will never happen but I can wish.

DD

I think thats likely too happen, The Packers teed off on thier opponent last night, So,ironicaly enough? The Packers will be helping the BEARS.

But the Vikes ain't laying down either and can whip G.B.

And I like the BEARS chances against the LIONS. Both games are tosups, being divisional games.

Bull,
I didn't get too see the game, but i wish i had the chance as that game had alot more fireworks than the one i was watching [just virtualy all defense,With Cincy and the Steelers.]

But, I'm happy with the result! And best of luck with the Skins.

It was bizzare, never expected the Seahawks lay the lumber on the 9nrs like they did.

But,they got that bad game out of the way,And should turn it around next week.

Yep EZ, he's got cracked ribs and bruised lungs. Ah well season was lost anyway. Good luck to you though! Clinched a playoff berth again. And I think your team is better this year than last. Enjoy :-)

Wow!

I didn't know all the injuries other than he was taken out of the game.

I just hope yers and DJs Raiders, do better next year. I still feel disapointed, that he's not been as good as advertised though.

I'd like too see the Bengals put everyone in on the upcoming Ravens game, in thier house and take a win away from them.

After that? Has my best wishs.
