NFL  > Arizona Cardinals  > WEEK #17 IT'S ALWAYS GOOD TO BE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS..... at least for most teams.
December 25, 2012, 08:22 PM
eagles ( 4-11) @ GIANTS ( 8-7)- Aloha Andy Reid, in this case it means Good-Bye.

jets ( 6-9 ) @ BILLS ( 5-10) - I heard Tim Tebow was starting.

dolphins ( 7-8 ) @ PATRIOTS ( 11-4 )- Sea creatures usually put up a good fight when they are facing extermination.

RAVENS (10-5 ) @ bengal's ( 9-6 )- Ravens Offensive Coordintor needs to get the cobwebs out of his offense so he does it in this game.

panthers ( 6-9 ) @ SAINTS ( 7-8 )- The Saints are trying to entice Sean Payton to come back, if they win he comes back.

buccaneers ( 6-9 ) @ FALCONS ( 13-2 )- The Bucc's losing streak of 5 games started with a lose to Atlanta and they will end the season with a loss to Atlanta, making it 6 games.

packers ( 11-4 ) @ VIKINGS ( 9-6)- Last time Peterson ran for 208 yards, coincidentally that is the amount he needs to rush for in order to break Eric Dickersons record.

BEARS ( 9-6 ) @ lions ( 4-11 )- Apparently the Lions like drafting in the Top 10 of every draft more than making the playoffs.

cowboys ( 8-7 ) @ REDSKINS ( 9-6 ) - Its December and the Cowboys are just lucky to be in the hunt, beside it would be interesting in round one of the playoffs to see RG3 play against Wilson.... Rookie vs Rookie.

jaguars ( 2-13 ) @ TITANS ( 5-10 ) - Jacksonville raised the heartbeats of many a Patriot fan but this week they are more concerned about who to draft @ #2.

texans ( 12- 3 ) @ COLTS ( 10-5 ) - Will J.J. Watts break Strahans record for sacks, will the Texans drop to #3 seed ?

browns ( 5-10 ) @ STEELERS ( 7-8 ) - Roethlisberger needs a way to say he is sorry for ruining the Steelers chances for the playoffs.

cardinals ( 5-10 ) @ 49ERS ( 10-4-1 ) - If the Vikings and Bears lose and Seattle and NYG's win, then the 49ers will lose.

rams ( 7-7-1) @ SEAHAWKS ( 10-5 )- I wonder if the NFL will have made the decision on whether or not to make Sherman start serving his suspension or not ? It sure does take these fools a long time to make a decision that is really a slam dunk decision.

chiefs ( 2- 13) @ BRONCOS ( 13-2 ) - Is there a more lopsided game ? Plus they are playing @ Denver.

raiders ( 4-11 ) @ CHARGERS ( 6-9 )- Of the Raiders 4 wins 2 have been against Kansas City, one against Jacksonville , and one against Pittsburgh. And they are without Carson Palmer. The Chargers want to send Norv Turner off with one good memory.

Poor predictions Narry.

Are you still mad because I took the Vikings to win at Home? Last week I was 14-2 . The ones I missed on were the Falcons and 49ers games.

Feel free to tell me which ones you think I'm wrong about? You don't think the Colts can beat the Texans in Indianapolis? The Colts are 7-1 at home. Or Maybe you think the Cowboys will beat the Redskins- that could be an upset, but like I say it is the Cowboys in December and they are on the road. Most of these season finales are slam dunk picks.

Now do me the favor and tell me who you are picking?

Narry,
I guess i can't blame you for taking Baltimore in thier own house.

But the Cincy D should give Flacco some grief. [that's critical] ifn the Bengals can get too him, then they have a better chance of winning.

It's the offense that concerns me [but not in the Pittsburgh game as both offenses had thier troubles.]

But Cincy isn't going too rest thier starters, And the offense has too put more points on the board against the Ravens.

But thanks once more for yer prediction though.:)

Like I said: Last week I was 14-2 . The games I lost I took Detroit and San Francisco.

I should have known that the 49ers were going to lose to Seattle. THey are stuck in a cycle of W-W-L-W-W-L-W-W-T-W-W-L-W-W-L-?. I was the first to notice this pattern by the 49ers and mentioned it at several Sports websites, CSN's Matt Maiocco asked Harbaugh about it after I posted the question at his website and Tony Kornheiser mentioned it on his show. One of the reasons I took the 49ers to beat the unstoppable Patriots @ Foxboro and in December. - But what do I know?

I can understand why you took the Niners but you must have been out of your mind to pick the Lions to win.

Hey i think you've made some good predictions, just kidding about and nobodies perfect.

I do really think the Cowboys have a better than average chance too win this upcoming game.

As i think RGIII's getting over confident and side tracked. And the Cowboys recently, has been better than advertised on the road. [i guess maybe i'm partial]:)

As far as Seattle? as you being a 9nr fan,at least they got that one bad game out of thier system. As they have been getting closer on the post season and winning for the last couple of years,You can see the improvements.

As far as yer QBs? I like #2 Smith, and wouldn't give him up for anything else than a 1st draft pick. [he's that important.] imo. As he's an immediate 'impact player',and better than drafting than a rookie. some peeps think the number of available QB's in the draft this year is weak.

You have an x-tra good #2 QB and theres ALOT of teams that would probably take either one you'd want too trade. [Jets /Cards and Jags come too mind.]

As i don't think it's gonna work out, having a starter sitting on the bench.

December 26, 2012  09:11 PM ET

Narry .You have 2 proven starting QBs on yer team, Are you gonna have 1 of them sitting on hisass next year?

I'm sure the Jets would just love yer #2 and give up a high draft pick [or three] for 1 of them.[not too mention a few other teams as well.]

I've read that the QBs on next years draft are few and unproven. till they hit the field in the NFL in august preseasons games.

You and Duke root for the same team, what do you peeps think about trading for some high picks and concentrate on any other area you think ya need depth on.

I can't help but wonder if the team would be better off with Smith as the starter.... I am torn between the decision as much now as I was at the time.

Duke,

Yer team is just about on the pinnacle, And still getting better.

But having 2 starters on the same team is a distraction. [look at the Jets.]

I've been reading the Ravens fans posts, and some of them don't want too play Cincy back too back games and would rather play against the COLTS instead of playing Cincy twice in 2 weeks in a row. [Cincy's 'Waterloo'] agianst the JETS in 2009. comes too mind.

As both teams know each other better than some other teams in another Division.

But i expect another defensive game. and it's gonna be fugly. As the Bengals will be playing too win and will keep thier starters in on that game.

December 27, 2012  07:58 AM ET

Cowboys D cannot keep up with RGIII. Skins 34, Cowboys 10

It would be more likely that the Vikings would play the Packers in back to back games than the Bengals and the Ravens playing back to back.

Yeah,

I don't remember the recipe that would make that happen, but that's my favorite scenario.

[Playing the Ravens back too back.]

Divisional games are harder too judge, as both teams know each other [and the Cowboys have been good on the road.] as anythings possible on any given Sunday.

I can understand the NFL making the Cowboys @ Washington a 8:20 pm Est. But I wonder why they pushed the Dolphins @ Patriots and Packers @ Minnesota back 3.5 hours so that they are kicking off when most teams out west will be kicking off ?

The NFL does crazy things and this is one of them.

December 27, 2012  06:14 PM ET

Imagine the poor Bear fans. The Bears leading the NFC North in Week 9 of the Season 1 game ahead of the Packers and 2 games over the Vikings and now they are at the mercy of the Packers beating the Vikings in order for them to make the playoffs. Probably the only other team to fold worse was the Giants who after WEEK #14 had a 1 game lead over Dallas and Washington and now has no possible way to win the NFC East and must rely on both Minnesota and Chicago losing.

I guess they want too make sure some teams don't know who too put in the game. [ahead of time]I really don't know.

But,the stakes for survival will be intense this upcoming Sunday.

I find it wierd that the Bengals got a WC and still have 1 regular season too play.error on my part, as the Ravens will play in Cincy. sorry.

So this game should be a good watch with Cincy and Baltimore. I don't know who's gonna be kickingass's in this game, But i sure hope it's more competitive than the 1st time they played against each other on MNF in the 1st regular season game.

And other than injuries? thats more on the Ravens concerns for thier team than Cincy that has all thier front 4 players ready, willing and able.

And that UDFA in LBKR Vontaze Burfict, [whoam wasn't even drafted by anyone in the draft.]

And he's made a great showing so far,[and got him for a great price too!]

I liked what he had too say after he got picked up by Cincy after the draft was done.

And said "I'm going show all these teams that passed me by, That they made a really bad mistake by passing me up".

So far? He's better than advertised.
