Bowl season always seems to bring out the best in players ...

Syracuse suspends two for Pinstripe Bowl
Oklahoma DT arrested for suspicion of DUI
Three Texas Tech players suspended for bowl game
UCLA receiver to miss bowl after testing positive for pot
Stanford DL ineligible for Rose Bowl
LSU suspends punter for bowl game

IDIOTS!

These are impressionable young men (using that term lightly) who have the maturity level of a goat...and think that they are immortal and will not get punished for anything they do...

Which brings me back to my original question a few days ago...if an assistant coach can convince one of these kids to delay going pro and remain in college (and the kid is a possible 1st/2nd rounder)...and the kid gets injured and has to quit football....does the coach/school get held responsible?

And I know the arguments that "he makes his own decisions"...but in today's litigious society and the judgments the courts are handing out now...(lady pouring hot coffee on herself and then sues McD's and wins, etc)...and that these kids are trained to listen to their coaches????

And I read the response from ICE that they sign an agreement to not sue....but that paper is only as good as the lawyer you get to represent you.....

And you owe svt a quarter, Dr.... :)

With almost 2 weeks to go in the 2012 bowl season, there's still time for more players to make the list. What are the odds?

Thinking they are mostly locked down now...for Jan 2 bowls and earlier they are already there and sequestered...for the others? figure a couple more

All of the academic casualties are done. So violation of team rules goes back to one thing.

Speculation is that McGee will never suit up for OU again. Since he is a Senior that is understandable, but then he is out for the bowl game as well

Just kids being kids (stupid but thats been the norm for quite a while)when you recruit out of the decently challenged neighbor(hoods)

The Stanford player's situation is a bit different. Apparently he committed a secondary NCAA violation regarding his off campus housing. Not exactly criminal activity, but no one is giving out any details on what the violation is. Probably living with his girlfriend/SO or something...
