Interesting that you think Lauzon can decision Miller. If Miller gets out of the first round, I think that fight is all his. J-Lau has shown some poor cardio in the past.

True, but I think that was more a function of how poor Varner's cardio looked in that fight.

I thought that was just in comparison to Varner being completely gassed...

I may be remembering wrong, but the way I recall Vaner looked like Colman in the Mo Mith fight before the first round ended.

Joe did look good though. Kid is definitely super talented and a great BJJ guy. I really like watching him fight, he always brings tons of excitement. I want to see him fight Nate if he beats Miller.

I remember Varner taking Lauzon down in the 3rd round and holding top control for a minute or so, getting up looking a little tired but still firing off shots, and shooting for another takedown where Lauzon was able to transition and lock in sweet triangle. You guys make it seem like Varner was gassed like Shane Carwin against Lesnar. Point is Joe had enough of a gas tank to sub a fighter deep into the 3rd round after an exhausting fight.

WHen I say gassed, I don't mean he was huffing and puffing....even if his motor was still running and he was moving around the cage, he had lost all power and real control of his strikes. When Varner starts out, his strikes are crisp and accurate....when he gasses, he starts moving around the cage more, looks busy, but pushes his punches and throws some wild swings that never had a chance to land...

Sherdog had that fight for Garcia. I didn't get to see it. What were your thoughts on the fight?
