You don't see them much worse than this.

The team was crippled on offense today. What was Lane Kiffin doing, hiding behind sunglasses with a hoddie?

A pathetic season, all the way round. Do you think Pat Haden will consider firing him?

I cant figure why they dont go long,, they some of the best WR's in the country, and their young QB is said to have a cannon of an arm.
Oh well, wait til next year i guess. ;)

Agreed. I previously posted my opinion of Kiffin 4 weeks ago on Comment #1 in the Bowl Pickem thread. Besides the obvious, USC was 5th in turnovers and 2nd in penalties in FBS for the season. And, of course, dead last in preparation for their bowl game.

Haden already said he would keep Kiffin, but let's hope he reconsiders upon pressure the alumni will probably bring after yesterday's debacle. It's been about 50 years since a preseason #1 ended up losing 6 games.

And if you're talking about Layla, it's 'hotty' or 'hottie', but never 'hoddie'.

P.S. - While Kiffin may have been the worst strategist of the day, Les Miles was the worst tactician.

Layla (the brains of the family) knows that Pat won't change HCs while USCw is under sanctions. Lane will have more time to right his ship and get the Trojans going in the expected direction. Sit tight folks. It'll be awhile.

After saying that for so many years, I guess the habit is tough to break!

Les was Les, whatever the circumstances. LSU should not have been in the final situation. Fault/credit whomever you wish, LSU's failure to maintain their previous drive was the defining moment of the game, IMHO.

Harley had some interesting comments about the behavior of USC while they were in El Paso and their apparent disrespecting of the GaTech Team, the Bowl officials and the city of El Paso...perhaps the university might want to consider that in whether this is what they want to present to the public....

I blame Coach Kiffin for this USC public relations fiasco. It's his responsibility to set the tone and expectations for team and individual player conduct when representing their school.

Properly so. Buck stops with Baby Face Kiffin.

Perhaps, we could all agree on simply, "Hawt!"

Lately it isn't easy to defend USC, but you guys with your righteous indignation and "piling on" mentality can all go to hell.

It's been 3 years since Kiffin rudely bolted from Knoxville, or the Trojans won in the 'Shoe. It's been even longer since USC was a national threat. Get over it already.

There, I said it. (I know, wrong thread.)

DM...for me it isn't righteous indignation or piling on....I don't really like UTk anyway and could care less that LK left them....didn't like him then and don't like him now. From a personal perspective, he struck me as a pompous ****, but that is my opinion.

My reason for posting was to reinforce this impression. I don't think that the USC school would act in this manner, nor would it's student athletes...but it does point to the classlessness of Mr Kiffen,,,good coach or no, he should still be the one to lead the team/school and he is not doing that.

Don't mean to offend any of the USC fans on here over something like this...has nothing to do with USC and everything to do with a lowly scum such as he.

Well I guess the USC players meant to say Georgia Tech was "too good" to play the Trojans at the dinner! West coast "pretty boy" arrogance SMACKED DOWN AGAIN !!! Love it.

As a newbie, this is an aggressive post and appears to be trolling a bit...might want to take a big breathe and calm down a bit....

either that or you're an idiot....

Well, shee-it, there are some nice things to say (historically) about the Toejams...

...Bear Bryant scheduled games w/SC in the late 60s, knowing that The Toes had black players that could beat Bama, and that this would let The Bear finally tell the alumni to stuff it and let him start recruiting cross the great Dixie racial divide.

But I think the Pete Carroll years were probably an aberration. USC (a West Coast, urban school) is not located for good college football. The decline since the John McKay years is set to continue...

Grumpy much, DM?

You can put it on me, but there's nothing unique about a homer who's quick to blow the whistle on a rival while acting high and mighty.

How profound. Maybe you can explain how FSUe got to be irrelevant over the past dozen years. Temporary or permanent?
