Will be interesting to watch this play out.
Also interesting that Penn State is apparently not one of the petitioners in the lawsuit.

Now we get justice, and the moralities are thrown out of the window...The NCAA does not have the authority to do what they did...What kind of damages will Penn State ask for Court for he NCAA over reaching.Who would have figured that is would come to this....I did
Penn State did not file the suit. The state of Pennsylvania did.

I have no problem with the games they vacated and the post season ban and the reduction of scolarships they can offer. I have a big problem with the 50 mil fine, that out of the realm of the NCAA's authority

QUOTE(#3):
Penn State did not file the suit. The state of Pennsylvania did.
Penn State is not a private school, it is under the umbrella of the State of Pennsylvania, whom just filed suit in court...
The Governor of the State is in charge of both...hmmmmm
QUOTE(#8):
Tom Corbett is not in charge of Penn State, which is neither part of this suit nor a state school. Tom Corbett is governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, but that hardly gives him ultimate power over state-related schools, which receive public funding but are operated independently of state control.
Penn State is a State University under the direction of the State of Pennsylvania...That is a fact. (Governors hire School Presidents, and appoint Board Members)
The Governor of Pennsylvania has the right to fire any State Employee he sees fit...That is a fact.
Tom Corbett is the Governor of Pennsylvania...That is a fact
The State of Pennsylvania filed suit in Federal Court today against the NCAA, just like I said they would...That is a fact
You can read what you want in to...That is a fact.
QUOTE(#10):
Whatever you need. You are wrong, of course, but I know you're not uncertain; neither will you allow any actual facts to sway your ill-founded opinions. Anyway, I'm not going to argue with you. By the way...you predicted that Penn State would sue. So far, you're wrong on that score, too. You're off to a swell start to the new year.
I said that someone would sue on their behalf...Right again
But you a still a wrong, sarcastic and whatever...That is a fact
Happy New Year Dude
QUOTE(#11):
BTW...it'ss the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. You know, like the Commonwealth of Virginia, where you claim to live. You're welcome.
It can be the Commonwealth, Commonpoor, Commondumb....So What
The Governor sued the NCAA in Federal Court, and has a slam dunk case...Like I said
QUOTE(#14):
OK. So your latest claim is that I'm wrong about Penn State being an independently-run, state-related school? Like I said, whatever you need. Happy New Year. Dude.
Penn State is still classified as a public run school in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Which makes its employees State Employees...Go Figure
