So JB is leaving the Frogs a year early to join the NFL. I'm well aware of the symbiotic relationship that exists between college players and their respective teams. Great players make major contributions to the team and the team enables the player to get an education and the resume required to be considered by the NFL. Teams want to win championships and players want to take the money when available and run without risking further injury (or declining stats).

But I don't like it. I wish these fleeing underclassmen would demonstrate greater loyalty to the schools and the teams that got them where they are and reject the temptation that an NFL payday presents them. (I have the same feelings about NFL free agency but that's a discussion for another day).

Personally I wish the NCAA and NFL would either disallow early entry into the NFL draft or dramatically curtail the monetary incentive for players who leave their college teams early where they can continue to make a meaningful contribution to the school that provided the platform for their success.

That said, good luck, Josh! You will be sorely missed. The road to a big 12 championship will be that much harder without you.
