Hi EZ, Lewis got the Bengals into the playoffs and it is hard to fire a coach that does that.

I was just saying the other day that I kind of like the slow and steady approach. Teams want to make the right decision and just rushing to hire a retread hasn't worked well in the past for a lot of teams.
Things should speed up soon once the season ends as some might be waiting for assistants on the current playoff teams.

Jerry Jones needs someone his age that can relate to him. This coming season should be interesting to say the least.

I think everyone is waiting till after the Super Bowl. By Feb 17th every team will have their coaching staff.

This isn't one of those, why did the chicken cross the road jokes is it?
My guess is; Someone has to open the door for Lane.

Why not?

Arians would have been a better hire in my opinion. He proved himself by guiding the Colts into the playoffs. The question is whether McCoy can successfully transition from OC to head coach. Norv Turner never could accomplish that.

OBD,
He's great at the spot he's in already.I have my druthers about being a HC,But I'd give him or Gruden a shot over Lewis.

I'm sure you guys would hate losing him, EZ.
I'm a big fan of him. You would think he is worth more than a cursory glance.

Now you are down to 2 teams without coaches. The only teams remaining without a head coach are Jacksonville and Arizona. Chicago has Trestman, Philadelphia has Kelly, San Diego has Mike McCoy.
The question is which team will get Greg Roman and Alex Smith? Arizona was the first team to show interest in Smith, but I think Jacksonville is the destination for both.
Jacksonville will interview both of Seattles coordinators, offense and defense.
Greg Roman the 49ers offensive coordinator is also rumored to be one of Jacksonvilles top candidates.
I must say I was shocked to hear Trestman going to Chicago, I didn't even know he was still coaching.

Trestman was interviewed last year by the Colts before they opted for Pagano.
