NHL  > General NHL  > The Chicago Blackhawks 2013 Stanley Cup Champions!
February 12, 2013, 04:30 PM
The NHL's Chicago Blackhawks are on a roll!! 10-0-2, and unbeaten in regulation. Number one team in the league. They are on their way to winning their 5th Stanley Cup in franchise history and their 2nd Stanley Cup during a Barack Obama presidency! When the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in 2010, defenseman Dustin Byfuglien became the first (black) African-American hockey player (goal scorer) in NHL history to win the Stanley Cup. Dustin Byfuglien now plays for the Winnipeg Jets.

Grant Fuhr was the first black hockey player period to win the Stanley Cup and he did it 5 times with the Edmonton Oilers between 1984 and 1990, but Grant Fuhr was Canadian and he was a goaltender. Another black Canadian goaltender, Eldon Pokey Reddick won the Stanley Cup with the Edmonton Oilers as well in 1990.

This season, the Chicago Blackhawks have three black hockey players on their roster: Canadian goaltender Ray Emery, Canadian right-winger Jamal Mayers, and Swedish defenseman Johnny Oduya. Three more black hockey players will win the Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks during a Barack Obama presidency.

If Chicago the band is inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame sometime during the remainder of Barack Obama's presidency (2014-2017) and the Chicago Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup a couple more times, then the person who gives the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction speech for Chicago should come up on stage carrying the Stanley Cup and wearing a Chicago Blackhawks jersey with the Chicago logo on the back of the jersey with the number 50. The person giving the induction speech will have to get permission from the Hockey Hall of Fame to bring the Stanley Cup and its handlers to the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Hopefully, the ceremony will be at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City the year Chicago is inducted. The Stanley Cup will be on display on the stage while the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction speech for Chicago is being given. Then taken backstage to the press room to be photographed with the band and their Rock Hall trophies, before returning to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

A REMINDER

First, a Chicago politician named Barack Obama is elected the first black President of the United States of America in 2008. Then, in 2010, the National Hockey League's Chicago Blackhawks win their fourth Stanley Cup in franchise history, but their first Stanley Cup since 1961, the year of Barack Obama's birth. Then, what do you know, Chicago, the band, is finally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 20??, during a Barack Obama presidency, but Chicago the band isn't black, but they did play Rock and Roll, which stems from the blues, which is the music of black people as Jann Wenner said at the 2008 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony in reference to the induction of Little Walter. Walter is also the name of Chicago's saxophone, clarinet and flute player???Walter Parazaider that is, who is a member of an elite group flute players in Rock history that includes Ray Thomas of the Moody Blues, Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, and Peter Gabriel of Genesis. Well, you know what they say, things always happen in threes, (Barack Obama, the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago). And all I have left to say is that it's about fckng time Chicago got inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame because this is Chicago mthrfckrs! This isn't Boston or Kansas???if you know what I mean! So, without any further ado, ladies and gentlemen, CHICAGO!!!
