NFL  > General NFL  > Jerry Jones...................again.
February 25, 2013, 03:09 PM
I know most of you Cowboys fans likely have read where Jones wants credit for winning their next SB.....whenever that happens. If it does. Winning? Got to get there first. Last I checked, 5-11 and 8-8 records get you sent home. Unless you're the Seattle Seahawks.

That in itself tells me some things, most of which I already knew or suspected. This means there will NEVER be a real GM while Jones is breathing. Okay, we already know this unfortunately. It also tells me that Jones is desperate. To paraphrase him........"And the only thing I am going to do there is keep trying and then make sure I get the credit when we do get that one. Y???all are going to give it to me, aren???t you????.........reeks of desperation to me. It also reeks of senility, but that's for another board.

He mentioned that Garrett would no longer call plays, but then, from what I've read lately, Garrett is still the OC, and likely will call plays this coming season......We'll see.

Jones and Al Davis were buddies until Al's passing last year. it looks to me like Jones absorbed more of Al than we may have thought. The Dallas Raiders anyone?

In Hawaiian a 'w' between two consonant is pronounced like a 'v' so Ewa sounds like Eva.

2013 Cadillac CTS Coupe 3.6L V6 RWD Premium

Worth every penny and then some, heck the tax and license were over 6 grand. I'll take this over any German sports car.

The only problem is it does turns heads including Law Enforcement heads, but it is white which helps a little. Allstate loves me or I should say they love my checking account which the get their greedy fingers on every month.

Agreed on that wholeheartedly. But, they did play with determination and grit. Gotta hand it to them for that.

I try not to listen to him, but that article piqued my curiosity, and after reading it, all I could do was shake my head, especially the last comment "Ya'll are going to give it to me, aren't you?"

As if he was just dying to be recognized for being something he wants to be, but never will be. It's like he HAS to prove to the world that it was HIM and not Johnson, who orchestrated the SB teams of the 90's.

Kind of childish, if you ask me.

Thanks, but he's in a lot better shape than I am right now. I have to go to the VA hospital in Houston on the 28th to get some kind of "skeletal" work done. Not sure what that will consist of. My right hip gave out on me a few months ago, and I had to use crutches for quite some time, just to be able to get around. I can walk some now, but it's still painful.

But, that has nothing to do with sports anyway.

Until JJ is literally wheeled out of the GM's office, there is no hope for the team.

Wow, you sure do have a pessimistic attitude.

maybe it's more of a realistic attitude. i'd bet there is a better chance this team remains in the .500 ballpark the next 5 yrs before i'd bet they win playoff games.

as for jones.... he's part al davis and becoming part bud adams. and these two parts are pretty sad.
