The acquisition of Boldin pretty much puts an end to any fantasy of the 49ers making a trade for Darrell Revis. I think Revis is destined to be with the NYJ's in 2013.
There is now speculation that Ed Reed could follow Anquan Boldin to the Bay. Reed has now hired an agent, something he hasn't had in the past.

The rumor mill is here.

That would be fantastic. The 49ers could then draft a big Wr to be mentored by Boldin and a FS for Reed to mentor. If they sign Reed then I think I will feel safe in posting a Mock Draft.

Reed will most likely re-sign with Baltimore but Charles Woodson could be an option.

I think you are right. I heard that Woodson was supposed to arrive 3/12/13 and talk to his Michigan alumni and long time friend. They used to host a golf tournament together the Woodson/ Harbaugh Celebrity Pro-Am Tournament.
Desmond Bryant is no longer a possibility now that he has signed with Cleveland
Tomorrow will Glenn Dorsey will visit the 49ers.
Oakland just released Michael Huff [2006], Darius Heywood-Bey [2009]
Philadelphia released Nnambi Asomugha [2003]
It looks like Dashon Goldson will sign with Tampa Bay.
Both Issac Sopoaga and Ricky Jean-Francois may end up with Philadelphia

TE - Delanie Walker was signed by Tennessee Titans.
The fullback with bricks for hands?

Walker was officially a TE but was more like the old H-back position that the Redskins popularized. While he didn't have the best hands, his production will be missed.

He was drafted out of college as a WR. By todays standards he is way to small to be a TE. So if you are looking for a big Red Zone Target, Walker is not your man.
Vernon Davis is right about the cut off height for TE's at 6'3". The 49ers need to get a TE that is at least 6'5"/ 250. I think they will address that position in the 3rd round.
Barring any injuries to Kaps, the 49ers will be in the playoffs as a division champion or a wildcard this coming season.

It will be fun watching a healthy James in the backfield and an aggressive WR in Boldin.

John Riggins did ok.

Ya got a ticket waiting in the after Season ,it's just for the 9nrs too p/chitup.no excuses there ,ya got everything now.
I can't believe Tampa Bay giving Goldson a 5 year $41 million dollar deal. Now they say they are willing to give the Jets their 2114 1st round draft choice so they can get Revis. If they paid $41 million for Goldson then expect them to offer Revis a 5 year $75 million dollar deal.

Tampa must have money to spend.
FOR THOSE THAT THINK TRADING FOR ALEX SMITH WAS NOT BENEFICIAL TO THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS; Look at all the Free Agents flocking to Kansas City.

Narry,
I'm happy for Jim, and I hope that Smith [+ another QB ]and the other FAs pan out as hoped.
It looks like the skies the limit with all the 9nrs are doing and getting x-tra draft picks and picked up a good WR from Pittsburgh.
It's definitely not gonna be hard too believe that San Francisco will be back in the playoffs this year for sure.
I'd say SF has loaded up for this coming season.

GnG,
Sometimes ,teams that have made and or lost certain key peeps ,just may open the door for the bench warmers, and become relevant beyond what most expected, this has happened before ,and very well can happen again.
As some of the younger peeps actualy get out on the field ,after sitting most of the time.
