St Louis Die Hards  > Group Message Board  > Two team race
April 7, 2013, 10:40 PM
After this weekend games and watching the Brew Crew and Reds play it is a no-brainer a two team race in the Central. The Cubs and Bucs will battle for last place and the Brewers are a distance third leaving the Reds and Cards as the cream of the division. The Cards could have won at least two more games on the trip, but the old saying is 500 on the road, 750 at home and you are in the playoffs. Freese had 3 hits today in Memphis and should be back in St. Louis tomorrow.

I think there is no doubt it is a two team race. The Crew should be decent, but I don't think they can stay with the Reds and Cards over the long haul..

Well, if it is in fact a two team race, I'm happy to get 2 of 3 from them. Nice rebound in games 2 and 3 from that debacle in Game #1 on Monday.

It's going to be tough to keep Adams out of the lineup if he keeps hitting anywhere close to this level. It's a good problem to have, but you want the bats of Craig, Adams and Beltran in the lineup, but there is only room for two of them.

Great performance by Jake Westbrook yesterday against a very good Cincinnati lineup.

Cards are winnning, but the Reds are keeping pace.
