NBA  > General NBA  > Congrats to Lakers but now is 5 and out, maybe less

The Lakers should be proud, they played very hard the last few weeks and will get the opportunity to play at least four more games.

It is unfortunate that it will be against the only team with enough talent to beat the heat.

Question: If the Spurs come in healthy (as it appears they are) are they the second best team in the NBA (forget about stats please)

Can they beat the Heat?

One more : Can the HEAT shut-down the Spurs 3 point machine?

My take: If the Spurs are on with their three pointers this is over...they will win it all...

Enough said.

the spurs aren't healthy...both parker and manu are banged up.

and the heat - statistically - are a better 3 point shooting team than everyone but GS. so can anyone stop their 3 point barrage while keeping LBJ in check is the real question.

Lakers stumbled into the playoffs, why would any (poster) believe the Lakers are legit?? Still despite many gaudy records, no dominate teams enter the playoffs..including the Heat!!!

I guess all opinions are valid BUT Spurs do have thew best chance to beat the Heat specially at coaching ..the best coach in the NBA vs an average one with great players...

SPURS DO HAVE KEY INJURIES---GINOBLI [ HAMSTRING ] AND TONY PARKER A VERY BAD ANKLE THAT KEEPS HIM FROM PERFORMING AT HIS BEST,I NEVER DID LIKE THE LAKERS BUT THE LAKERS CAN UPSET THE SPURS.BUT I STILL LIKE THE SPURS IN 6 GAMES.
TO BE HONEST WITH YOU THE SPURS ARE NO MATCH FOR THE HEAT---THE HEAT HAS THE BEST BENCH AND STARTERS---WORDS AND THE TRUTH....

No question: Heat(best) in the playoffs, so now do they rest after one ring? Celts last year took heat by Defense, scared the bejessus out of them..posters, overconfidence can bring great teams down..Another season, less than healthy wade..count the teams that repeat: Lakers, bulls, Celtics.Do the Heat belong in that (select) group!!

Thats (if) Spurs get to the Title..Nuggets, Clippers, Thunder all or any could derail their plans..Playoffs, a whole different games..not predictable..except by fools!!!

The key to spurs going forward is rest. So they need a 4 game series vs lakers...

Less respect for Lakers, this year..but Stern and Laker front court, will not allow sweep, however, no way they get out of !st round,,Spurs in 5. Other series in the west: denver nuggets surprise..In the East best(nailbiting) series: Celts vs Knicks to close to call!!

Of course the Heat are defending champs..which means nothing..very, very difficult to repeat..This years Heat team..are to overconfident..why not The Media..so called experts, have ordained them..unbeatable..hogwash The Spurs..most likely will bury all unbelievers..before my favorite was The thunder..loss of Westbrook, possibly even Memphis or The clippers bett matchup with the Heat..longshot: Denver respond???
