NFL  > General NFL  > Browns 7th round pick arrested for DUI

No, I'm not picking on the Browns - rather the guy they drafted, Armonty Bryant.

So...Armonty was suspended last year in college after TWICE selling pot to an undercover officer.

Barely got drafted into the NFL and said, "Now that I've gotten a second chance, I feel I wont let anyone down. I wont let myself, the people around me, or the Cleveland Browns down. I appreciate them taking this chance on me".

Well...he only didn't let you down if you had no expectations of him in the first place.

Blew a .098 on the breathalyzer and the legal limit is .08.

Now I know what you're thinking..."Hey, it could happen to anyone".

No, it couldn't. It can ONLY happen to those that choose to drink and drive. If you drive while sober, you'll never drive drunk.

Secondly - he realized that he screwed up in college and was grateful for the second chance and vowed to focus on that.

You made into the NFL by the skin of your teeth and do *this*?!

College: It doesn't make you smarter.

In all fairness he did go to Eastern Central Oklahoma.

This is where a bunch of stoners reply "there's nothing wrong with smoking weed"

...and completely fail to comprehend that it keeps the player off the field.

This will be obvious too him when he gets penalized a few games and paychecks ifn any.

It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't make the team at all - and if he did the Browns (much like honey badger) will make him pee in a cup on a weekly basis.

Seriously, how many times do you have to get arrested to learn from your mistakes? At what point do we stop chalking it up to 'youth' and just say he's either stupid or doesn't care?

Young man needs to get the hell out of Ada. Nothing good will come from him staying there.

I'll pick on the Browns for you.

Why even draft this guy in the first place??? Yeah, I know it was a 7th round pick but selling pot TWICE to a undercover cop is all it should've taken for him to go undrafted. Maybe a UDFA signing but in hindsight even that looked like too much of a risk to take on this guy. I know hindsight is 20/20 but even the Browns should've seen this comming.

The Browns really weren't taking much of a 'chance' on the guy with a 7th round pick. These guys don't make the roster. If he makes it - great for them, if not - so what? It was a 7th round pick anyway.

I hope he learned something in school because no team is going to sign him once the Browns cut him loose.

LOL....wow. What a resume:

1) Suspended in college for twice selling pot to an undercover cop

2) Drafted in the 7th round

3) Busted for DUI before training camp

4) Cut by the Browns.
