NFL  > General NFL  > NFL: Will Bill Belichick regret bringing in Tebow
June 23, 2013, 01:24 PM
I can only imagine the scenario under which the first game in New England will be played, but I'm going to let my imagination run wild and give it a try.

I closed my eyes and this is what I see:

A packed house has come in to see the greatest gladiator in the history of the NFL, fans are chanting, crying with such fervor that is heard throughout the land. One can clearly see the hypnotized look in their faces, a look that mimics that of Hannibel Lecter. Tebow maniacs take their frenzy into another level as all of the sudden they see their hero descending from the heavens on a golden chariot surrounded by rose petals smothered with multi color glider dust, the noise grows to a fever pitch with the familiar chant Tebow...Tebow ...Tebow.

Wake up asif!

I know that's a little over the top but that will undoubtedly be the scenario this season, by mid-year Belichick will regret bringing in Tim Tebow, and please understand, it won't be because he is not a good guy or a good football player but because he won't like that traveling carnival he brings, you know, the crazed Tebow maniacs.

Bill Belichick is a no drama guy, he likes his camps to be quiet and uneventful so I just don't get the decision to bring Tebow to the Patriots, I want to believe this might be a marketing scheme but it makes no sense since I assume the patriots are sold out week in and week out .

I believe everybody in the football world, except for the Tebow zombies, understands that Tim Tebow is not an NFL quarterback, we cam all agree on, so what probably happened is that Bill talked Tebow into playing another position, rumors has him at tight end. That would be a smart move for Tebow, I actually believe he would be very good there.

I hope the Tebow manics don't act like idiots this year. I hope they don't start their silly Tebow chants when Tom Brady misses a few passes, let me just tell those folks now, TEBOW WILL NOT REPLACE BRADY, SO FORGET ABOUT ANY FANTASIES YOU MAY HAVE ON THAT SUBJECT, THE QB EXPERIMENT IS OVER, SO GET OVER IT.

Period.

As always this is a fans opinion and from what I understand everybody has one and I'm thankful for that.

Enough said.

As a Gator fan, I am a huge fan of Tebow. As a realist NFL fan, his abilities just don't translate to me to make him a consistent successful QB.

I don't think that this will hurt NE though. He isn't going to create any QB controversy with Brady there. Belichick and Brady aren't going to let him be a distraction. If he makes no impact at all, he will be every bit as good as any backup NE has had since 2001 outside of Cassel and Bledsoe. They aren't going to have to rely on him to be much of anything. If he does do something well, then it is all gravy for them.

AIYK:

Most folks are over Tebow, he was news 2 years ago and everyone saw what he is capable of which of course was not much, his 'flock of groupies' have moved on to someone else to obsess over, you need too also.

Why not start a new obsession?

How about Kate Upton, that girl needs a spanking!

Sorry probably should not have mentioned the word 'spanking' and Kate Upton's name in the same sentence, some (like me) could get the wrong idea.

don't laff,......tebow might be a tight-end today....!

I thought when they signed him he would be used occasionally in the backfield like Hernandez has done the past few seasons. The guy can run and is bigger than Hernandez..but he needs to learn to catch. HA!!
