NFL  > San Francisco 49ers  > 49ER ROOKIES REPORTING FOR 2013 TRAINING CAMP 7/19/13
July 14, 2013, 12:27 PM
It could be said that the 49ers will have basically 2 draft classes this year since the 2012 players never got much playing time.

Interesting OFFENSIVE MATCH-UPs
QB: Scott Tolzien vs B.J. Daniels for the 3rd string QB job. I think Tolzien moves on to another team
RB: Jewel Hampton vs Anthony Dixon, the better special teams player wins the Job
WR: A.J. Jenkins vs Ricardo Lockett vs Quinton Patton
OL: Daniel Kilgore vs Joe Looney ( For eventual starting Center ), Carter Bykowski vs Luke Marquardt ( For backup Tackle )
TE: Garrett Celek vs Marques Gray

DEFENSIVE MATCH-UPS:
DL: Glenn Dorsey vs Ian Williams , Quinton Dial vs Lawrence Okoye vs Will Tukuafu, Demarcus Dobbs vs Tank Carradine vs Tony Jerrod-Eddie
OLB: Cory Lemonier vs Cam Johnson vs Darius Fleming
ILB: Dan Skuta vs Mike Whilhote vs Nick Moody
CB: Perrish Cox vs Tramaine Brock, Chris Culliver vs Marcus Cooper, Darryl Morris vs Lowell Rose, Nnambi Asomugha vs Carlos Rogers
Safety: Eric Reid vs Craig Dahl, Darcel McBath vs Michael Thomas
Special Teams : LS Brian Jennings vs Kevin McDermott

Narry,

Yer team had alot more picks ,[thanks too the Chiefs.] And got a good LNBKR from Cincy as well!

It's gonna be hard for you, on how many talented peeps you have too cut too make the roster.

Cincy has the same problem,on 'who too cut'.

Yes,

The BEARS have a great chance of picking up some Peeps getting cut before regular season.

Theres 2 OL men with Cincy ,and i like both of them, especialy the one that can play any position.

The other Is a OT. so Chicago should take advantage of teams with good players being cut,cuz thier teams can't front all of them.

Narry,

The fun has just begun, yer team had a field day in the draft ,now it's up too yer HC too cull the ones out too the 53 man roster.

You have too cut some peeps, and, i'll wager some of them could be impact players on other teams ,after they cut them.

Yer 9nrs/STL/Cincy,are prime teams with too many good players and rookies.

What is kind of interesting is that both Michael Crabtree and Rookie RB Marcus Lattimore may sit out the 2013 season on the PUP list. Like I said at another site, there will be several teams that grab up the players the 49ers cut from their team, they are that deep.

I think some team that needs a good back-up will take Scott Tolzien. He beat out Russell Wilson of Seattle when both played for Wisconsin. I could see Minnesota picking him up, or Buffalo or NYJ's

I think Cincinnati may make it to the Conference Championship game depending how they are seeded at the end of the season.

I am pulling for Alex Smith and Kansas City to do well, or at least having a 8-8 season.

The only thing now that people are questioning about the 49ers is if Colin Kaepernick can keep his head screwed on right. All the celebrity stuff he has been experiencing. He was a guest at the White House 2X and then he had that crazy Miami Cap Garbage, he went to the country music awards, threw out a pitch at a SF Giants game, went to the ESPY award and won an award for "Best Breakout Player", then got invited to a party at the Playboy Mansion a couple of days ago. Heck He needs a vacation just to get ready for training camp now. Although I would think that the party at the Playboy Mansion would have been relaxing.

Even though Marcus Lattimore has stated that he feels he is ready to compete at RB, and that his knee feels OK, don't expect to see him play this season.

I can't wait to see Tank Carradine suit up. The 49ers have been quiet about his recovery progress.

But?

Either way? Yer 9nr's,as well as the Bengals have a few rooks, being brought in as impact players,I hope that none of ours, get lost too Baltimore/Pittsburgh nor Cleveland end up with them.

Vice-versa as well.

It's kinda awesome that some teams are so heavy in depth, that most of them would be put into, the season, without sitting on the bench,as alot of teams would love too get, whatever we cut.

Narry,That would be great!

And yer team will probably be deep into the playoffs as well,You have that much talent on yer team.

And,yep, Exactly right,Better hope Ka ,quit's clubbing and not regress, nor injured.

Other than that? Yer team should do great this year.

And,yep. I think Jim's Chiefs and Nerbs Rams will do well also.

Welp, who cares how many times of seeing the 'Prez',or hanging out whith Hugh Hefner,at the mansion.

As long as he produces.
