NFL  > General NFL  > 2013 PRESEASON PREDICTIONS ; AFC EAST

MIAMI........ Yes Miami will win the East. They looked like an up and coming team last year. Having Hartline and Walllace will make them the best WR duo in the East. Tannehill himself is an improving QB. They had a decent draft taking Dion Jordan will put some pressure on the East QB's.

NEW ENGLAND......... Not even sure I want to give them 2nd place. To many distractions, Hernandez for #1, #2 Gronkowskis health, #3 Aging Tom Brady and his missing top #5 receivers and playmakers from last year, #4 Vladmir Putin stealing the owner Super Bowl ring, that plus the 2 Super Bowls the Giants have stolen from them. Can they beat any team that made the playoffs last year? . They may make the playoffs as a Wild Card team because of the weakness of their schedule. There draft was only mediocre they did get Dobson a WR. Can Brady carry the team?

BUFFALO....... I continue to wait for Buffalos defense to show up. Probably their game against the 49ers last year shows how far behind they are, with Alex Smith as QB the 49er offense was able to put up 300+ yards rushing and 300+ yards receiving, that was the only time in the history of the NFL that a team has done that. What makes their problems worse is that Jarius Byrd wants to leave, as indicated by his holding off on signing his franchise tag. They improved their team by drafting Robert Woods WR so Kolb has someone to throw to.

NEW YORK ........... Another team in the AFC East with distractions, will this be Rex's last year? Who will be the QB? . Will Dee Milliner be as good as Darrell Revis? At least there is no pressure on Sheldon Richardson. If NYJ's wants to become a contender in a couple of years they need to get rid of Ryan.

The AFC East plays the NFC and AFC South. Each one of these divisions has 2 teams that I do not think any team in the AFC East can beat ( N.O., Atlanta, Houston, Indianapolis) Each team will therefore have to make the best of the other teams in the South. The NFC East may be the worst division in football, along with the AFC West.

Yesterday Tim Tebow worked out with the WR and RB's. He also led the 3rd string offense. Tebow threw 2 pathetic INT's and a screen pass that was so bad that it had everyone laughing. Now that has to hurt when your teammates start laughing at your play.

July 27, 2013  05:19 PM ET

Welp, use him as a TE. after what's happened over the preseason.

July 27, 2013  05:22 PM ET

Good!! Please get off the Pats bandwagon. They don't need you anyway. And keep doubting Brady. He won Super Bowls with lesser receivers.

It's only preseason practice.

Extremely hesitant on thinking Miami will make it past New England, despite all the conflict the Pats have faced this offseason.

However, I do believe they're the only team currently that has the potential to overtake them. Miami is about 90% potential though, and as a lifelong Fins fan, I am extremely anxious for the season to start just to see what all our new pieces bring to the table.

Truly not trying to **** myself or anything, just ironic that I recently wrote up some power rankings for the AFC East. Feel free to check 'em out here: http://kevtalksnfl.wordpress.com/

New England looks like the only team capable of putting together a winning season in the AFC East.

They'll win the division due to lack of competition... again.

11-5 looks good for them.

But a much better D. Everyone forgets about how good NE's D was back then.

If New England wins the NFC East it will be because of Belichick genius and Tom Brady depending on his backfield. There was one game last year where Brady and Shane Vereen had a great game together.

The only chest pounding I have had was when paramedics had to revive me after the 49ers could not score from the 7 yard line when it was 1st and goal from the 7.

As a woman of faith, did God ever explain to you why he delivered Tebow onto your doorstep?

Oh by the way, AUGUST 3RD, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM BRADY.
