ATLANTA- If you would have asked me anytime last season who will win the NFC South in 2013 I would have said New Orleans. But Atlanta may sweep the South this season because all they will have to do to beat New Orleans is run the ball with Steven Jackson and that ball control will be enough. Ryan will not have to get in a shoot out with Brees. Atlanta has also improved their defense. They lost John Abraham and sign Osi Umenyiora, they drafted several secondary players and Desmond Trufant will start at R CB

NEW ORLEANS- Sorry New Orleans your great Coach and Offensive Coordinator is offset by your terrible Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan. So it will be another great year of passing for Drew Brees and considering they play the second worst division in the NFL the AFC East you should be in the hunt for a Wild Card. Should be an interesting matchup when you host Dallas

TAMPA BAY- With a very expensive new secondary it will be interesting to see if Tampa can slow down Ryan or Brees? Just having a good secondary will not help Tampa. Josh Freeman is on the Hot Seat. Will Mike Glennon take over soon? Maybe not this year. They have a good RB in Doug Martin who had a good rookie season.

CAROLINA - Carolina used their draft to address the defensive line with Star Lotulelei and Kawann Short. If it wasn't for the fact that Steve Smith still seems to be able to beat most secondaries, Carolina would have no WR's. What should be interesting is having Kenjon Barner ( The Black Momba ) in the backfield with Newton, both are explosive runners and Barner is a good safety valve.

The NFC South plays the NFC West and these should make for some interesting games The NFC South also plays the AFC East which is the second worse division in the AFL behind the AFC West. Lucky for the NFC South that for the second year in a row they will be able to pad their win record with terrible AFC Divisions, even mighty New England is full of holes, the free agency kind, not the bullet kind.

I forget. Did Tampa Bay extend Darrell Revis's contract? Or did they spend all their money on Dashon Goldson?

How lucky for the NFC South. Last season all the teams were able to pad their W-L record by playing the AFC West, now they will be able to do it again against the AFC East, It seems like these divisions purposefully implode in the off season just to prepare for the NFC South.
