NCAAF  > General NCAAF  > Will the Big 12 Belong to the Baylor Bears this Season?

Is this the year for the Bears? Texas is weak; Oklahoma has a lot of holes. Is it time for someone else to establish dominance over this conference? I think so!

They have plenty of offensive firepower. If they can get their stuff together defensively, it's possible.

This is my sentiment....is it possible for Baylor to field a powerhouse? Yes.

Is it probable that Baylor will field a powerhouse? No

They probably will field a powerhouse until they play Okie Lite

Baylor could take the Big12 this coming year, but be dominate over the Big12 to come? Probably not, they are too inconsistant...since their recruiting is on the rise. They still have a bit to work on before they become dominate in the Big12.

I think there are 6 teams in the Big 12 who have a legitimate shot at the conference title. Baylor is one of them. Junior QB Bryce Petty, who is much the same type of QB as Nick Florence who broke RGIII's records last year, inherits a potent offense. Junior RB Lache Seastrunk might be one of the top 10 RBs in the country. Tevin Reese is a solid WR who has the same type of weapons as his predecessors Terrance Williams and Kendall Wright. If they can get their stuff together on defense they could win the Big 12.

Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Baylor, and Kansas State all have legitimate shots at the title. Hell even throw in Texas Tech as a long shot.

The Bears lack depth and most of the teams in the B12 are pretty good this year. They will run out of gas by late OCT.

Funny....many people think this is the best Longhorn team since they lost to Alabama for the BCS title.

Yes it it. Year 3 of the rebuilding program. If they fail ... FIRE MACK BROWN!

Texas is weak, you say? Well, Rick Perry may be a bit weak-minded, but then, he's an Aggie, is he not?

Governor Rick Perry encouraged and/or approved of funding ads to run in the NYC market, extolling Texas's business climate and encouraging NYC-based businesses to move to Texas. NYC resident, Lewis Black produced the following retort. [Warning: explicit language]

I'm not buying stock on any Big 12 team at this point, Oklahoma and Texas seem to be regressing if anything, I think Baylor has a fair shot.
