NFL  > Green Bay Packers  > Vince Young?

I didn't realize the back up position to Rodgers was THAT dismal that the Packers signed VY yesterday. WOW!!!

Austin collie went to the niners... he really should have retired. IMO a lot of moving around this past few days.

Now if the pack can upgrade their D...Dangerous

idk... think vince may have been written off a bit too soon. not saying he's capable of being a starter right now, but i do think fisher didn't like him from the beginning in nashville and that added to his problems.

he's got a long way to go to ever have a shot at starting and certainly gbay is his last chance at proving himself. guess i'm hoping he's matured a ton and can still be effective (suprise... i'm a longhorn fan! LOL)

They will know how fit he is by 8/27/13- All the 49er WR's were going down with minor injuries, they needed someone to throw passes to, so the 49ers signed Austin Collie and Lavellle Hawkins.

Collie passed the physical. But I'm sure the coaches are watching him very closely and he is skating on thin ice as far as his NFL career is concerned.

GB will be using Young as a Guinea Pig to see how porous their offensive line is, a line that gave up 51 sacks last season. Green Bays offensive Left Tackle Brian Bulaga is out for the season. So GB will be starting a rookie, David Bakhtiari at LT.

77,

You got 2 impact players it seems, already at DE and LNBKR,I enjoyed watching yer D,and won the game without using a lot of yer 1st stringers as well.

With VY being pretty mobile, it might not give them a good gauge on how Rodgers might fair.

Narry,

Yep read about that with the LOTKL went on IR.

But? Sometimes you have too put in yer rookies, just for things like this.

And may be an impact player from the 1st preseason game till the last regular season game.

Cincy has had too do it ,so I figure the other teams will go that route as well.

Hey BGD,

Yer rookie tackle Kyle Long, might hit the field running ,at 6'6 and 0ver 300 pounds ,he's gonna be a beast for yer Bears

Rooting for yer team after the 1st regular season game.

Being that I was born in Ohio, I have always liked the Bengals.
I love Ken Anderson, Brian Sipe, but they lost me with Norman Esiason.

Good luck weeks 2-17...lol

It was up to her. She wanted to go there and got in. My son went to Kansas and my other daughter is finishing up at Connecticut. My house is either Big 12 or Big East. LOL!!

VY really gonna love the nitelife in GB.

yeah,

I liked Kenny Anderson as well ,he was more of a short passer ,but could unleash a bomb or 2 ,just too mix it up.

As for Boomer? what's not too like?

??

this doesnt make any sense...unless you also think VY is going to win the starters job. he is nothing more than insurance after both harrell and coleman struggled during the scrimmage.

as for bakhtiari, im not overly worried. he plays angry and mean - something the GB offensive line has been missing. plus a look at the starting LT for the past SB few winners shows you dont need an elite level big name guy. david diehl a former guard - started for the giants, bryant mckinnie - started for baltimore, and the corpse of chad clifton - started for GB.

now if GB suffers ANOTHER offensive line injury there should be some panic. theyre becoming super thin up front.
