NFL  > General NFL  > Riley Cooper Returns
August 6, 2013, 12:40 PM
Riley Cooper had been away from the team for four days to allow for the wounds his words created. Cooper was seeking treatment for his insensitive comments in his away time as well. Apparently it doesn???t take long to cure, four days to be exact.

If it's that easy, can we should send the entire congress there. With their five week recess, maybe they could come back and get something done constructively...lol

Have fun with this Duke...lol

Just a copy and paste of a journalist, I think they need to get over it...let him give a Mae Culpa in front of the team and move on.

The journalist would be shocked to hear the words said on the line of scrimmage, in piles going for a loose ball, or even among teammates in the locker room.

How come a congressman can get away with calling Mexicans a bunch of Wet backs, but a football player has the slip of the tongue, and he is crucified?

Because some people have too much time on their hands. And talking about a dumb comment is easier than discussing real issues and solutions.

It was a dumb, angry, drunken rant. He apologized. His team fined him.

Sounds like everyone took the appropriate actions.

We all get drunk then dumb(er) but the rant is not good form. Hold your liquor. Reminds me of Mel Gibson. Wonder how Cooper will fare going across the middle? He might find himself looking up from the ground out of his ear-hole.

And you really don't think that would have happened anyway?

I just don't think his stupidity changed anything for the better or worse.
