ENGLEWOOD, Colo. ??? Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller isn't just in hot water with the NFL right now.

Miller, scheduled to have his appeal hearing Thursday of a four-game suspension for violating of the NFL's drug, was arrested Sunday on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a traffic citation. Miller posted a $1,000 bond that evening and was released.

Oh Von..the Commish is on line 2. Good luck!!

DO THE CRIME..DO THE TIME!!

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller will likely be suspended for six games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, ESPN's Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter report.

Last month, ESPN had reported that Miller was facing a four-game suspension. Miller has been in the process of appealing that ban, which was supposed to take place last week before it was delayed until Aug. 20.

According to the ESPN report, Miller is 'not likely' to appeal the six-game suspension, which could be handed down as early as Monday. However, Miller's camp is negotiating with the NFL to possibly have the number of games he is suspended reduced to four.

Losing Miller for six games at the start of the season is a devastating blow to the Broncos' defense. A six-game ban means Miller will miss games against the Baltimore Ravens, New York Giants, Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars. On the bright side, four of those games are at home, which could alleviate some of the damage. Two of those games ??? the Ravens and Raiders games ??? are in prime time.

Word usually comes out on Tuesday's, so I guess we'll know in the morning. Team talk still acts like they are confident he will not be suspended. Word is that both issues - the arrest and the PED's charge are both about him not managing his schedule - the arrest was just because he failed to pay traffic tickets on time, and the PED's + is not really a + but he didn't show up for his test.

Those pesky traffic citations.....just blow those off. That is until your next infraction and you get pulled over and then a nice ride in the back of Crown Vic!! "hey do you know who I am?"...(officer) "Why yes, you're the dumb@55 that didn't pay the $75 traffic citation!" Enjoy the ride!

+45,

A lot of these peeps, are lucky trying too digest the playbook, not police pullovers ,arrests and citations nor tickets for speeding in the 'Real World'.

That's their Agents job!!

I'm sure you're hoping for the best but it doesn't look good.

EZ,
we (the common folk) manage to do our jobs, manage families, socialize, take care of minor traffic offenses etc on a daily basis without a "personal assistant". I do NOT disagree at all with what you are saying. And a good agent should/could take care of that but that would be predicated that the client passes the info to the agent. I'm sorry but I can't for an instant give a pass on something like this. As TxHeat stated "dumb and DUMBER"

Oh and do you think that playbook is really that complicated for a REAL college graduate/students? Maybe more of a challenge for student/athletes with emphasis on athlete. Does someone sit at work with most of us giving us hours of "coaching"? How about most jobs where its "see one, do one, teach one".

Who payed tickets for Bart Starr? He took care of his own business. (probably got a free-pass in GB but you get my analogy). These guys are coddled.

Sorry for the rant, the irresponsibility sometimes just sets me off. I don't think you are defending them from your post, just taking this opportunity to rant on the Pro Athlete (mostly a small percentage of the athletes) who misbehave every week.

Agreed +45...Life would be much easier if we had 'personal assistants' but that's not our real world. Not mine anyway. I always took care of all my business while working full time, raising 3 kids, taking care of the house, paying bills, being a chauffeur and everything else. These dumb mofo's can't do more than one thing at a time is ridiculous!!!

These athletes have been put on a pedestal since high school and told they can do no wrong.

Well..he got his 6 games!!! BOOM!!

+45,

I was being sarcastic, but also speaking truth,Of course alot of Pro ball players get a degree,

Some? On the other hand? Don't. [Taking liberal arts, with a tutor/s and so on.]

Others? Would Never make college, without alot of educational help.

Starts from high school or sooner too college and beyond, too make it too the Pros, that, alot of them wouldn't be able too pass, too get that far without alot of help.

Since thier "Agent" is making alot of money for some of the more taxed players in the league,I figure, they can spend the time,at least 'helping thier client out, instead of snow parties, and sitting in the vip section come game time.

I have no problem with yer analogy, but You and I seemed too be able too hack our jobs, but? Still needed some help and experience too do them.
