I am, currently on level 161.

How far have you gotten?

At least I wait when my lives are up and play the 'quests' to cross bridges instead of paying any money.

Oh yeah football, Ripper I have no idea how you can get over your team blowing 2 leads like that on Monday nights within a year.

70 is a tough one, a girl I work with was stuck on it for a week or more.

97 almost got me to quit, how I ever got it is a mystery.

and I am up to 164

Hammered, I have no idea what Candy Crush is.

As for getting over the blown leads on MNF . . . it's easy, because I have had a lot of practice.

I just do the same thing I do when they blow leads on Sundays:

Yell the F word about 50 times with each bad play down the stretch heading for the L while my dogs look at me funny wondering if I'm mad at them (I'm not), return about 15 text messages I always receive after an L from my NFL-fan friends (particularly Bronco-fan and Cowboy-fan) mocking me with a "bird" and telling them their team ___________ (fill in the blank depending on what they did - "sucks, got lucky, won but still sucks, etc), shake my head in misery, whine, text my bro and his buddies down in SD about how it could have possibly happened yet again, think about what I did wrong while watching the game on TV that caused the karma field to reverse polarity, then think to myself "it's only a #'n game, why do you get so wound up about it, why do you care so much,"and finally I resort to my newest self-help weapon I didn't have previously - think to myself "The Giants are the defending WS Champs and Champs 2 of the last 3 years so it's not ALL bad," and finally think "yes, DA, it IS that bad. They #'n blew another one!"

Other than that I'm fairly unaffected.

Hang in there Ripper!

Get ready for round #2.

CC is a stupid addicting game for your phone, sort of like Bejeweled but way way better and it pretty much teaches you to hate chocolate.

I guess you live in the Fresno area? you did mention going to the Rutgers game. So the question sort of needs asking "why a Chargers fan?" being way closer to the bay area teams than San Diego.

I thought it was all Norv's fault.

In all seriousness I think the calls go the way of a team that is really down, making the games more interesting but at some point when MO leaves your team in the 3rd qtr it is really hard to get him back on your side.

Agreed. Yes, I live in Fresno. As for allegiances, it just goes right down the State of California, north to south: Giants, Sharks, Fresno State, Lakers, Chargers. As a little kid I went to some A's games and a couple Giants games. Just went to college football games, never pro. Grew up a Giants fan and Chargers fan. No one else in my family was a Chargers fan.

I think it started because when I was just old enough to care Lance Alworth was winding it down, and I liked him as a receiver. Just found myself following that team in the newspaper and on TV (no ESPN back then) and the rest is history. Funny thing was that my bro moved to SD after college and he became a big Chargers fan. I guess I follow Fresno State because they're the only game in town. Didn't go to school there. Last weekend they played my alma mater Cal Poly, SLO, and I wore my Cal Poly Football hat. But other than that I stick with those listed teams.

Fresno's weird when it comes to pro sports and who people follow. The Grizzlies (Giants triple A) play here, so it makes sense that there are lots of Giants fans here. But also lots of Dodgers fans too, being roughly halfway between LA and SF. And many Raiders. And many 49ers. A few Chargers but not too many. And Cowboys and Steelers. They seem to be everywhere.

That explains alot, I remember the days before ESPIN, was nice when all anyone cared about is what happened on the field.

Could you imagine how Kenny Stabler would have been covered had ESPIN existed back then?
They would have had ESPN4-STABLER, 24/7 coverage of a 24/7 party, all booze n' babes all the time.

Not trying to insinuate anything here but everyone I've heard talk about the game is female. At my office.
