NFL  > General NFL  > Can the Broncos be stopped?

Peyton Manning and co. is making it look easy. They honestly look unbeatable. I bet the Broncos don't sit down starters. I don't see Elway going that route if they keep on dominating and approaching undefeated. a little early to say this but they are STRONG.

Yep,They look very impressive, but just after 3 games?

Gonna hold off before they win the Super Bowl.

I don't see anyone beating Denver. They will get Von Miller and Champ Bailey back soon as well. Losing Clady hurts but Peyton is so great it may not hurt much. He gets rid of the ball in less than 2 seconds normally like he did in Indy so he can make an average O.Line look great which is rare because usually it takes a good to great O.Line to help make your QB perform well.
I would say the Top 10 teams after 3 weeks are:
1 Denver 3-0
2 Seattle 3-0
3 New Orleans 3-0
4 Chicago 3-0
5 New England 3-0
6 KC 3-0
7 Miami 3-0
8 Indy 2-1 :)
9 Dallas 2-1
10 Baltimore 2-1 over Cincy for now but that is close, Houston is right there at 2-1 as well but really hasn't looked good all season.

Raiders gashing the secondary for some big chunks right now....Denver will win of course but maybe exposing some weak links. Clearly Denver defense knows the run and play action is a non starter right now so should be doing better in the secondary.

Getting big chunks against a prevent defense?

Broncos defiantly a team to watch out for IMO. and good for them, they made great decisions firing McDaniels and bringing in Fox and then Manning.

Oh sure! Broncos come to Dallas in 2 weeks. <rolls eyes & smirks>

That will be a good game TX. Dallas has a chance like anyone else I guess. I was surprised how well denver kept pryor contained last night. The poor Rookie looked all of a week old last night.

Depending on which Dallas team shows up, it will be a good game..or a big time Denver blowout. For so long now as soon as Dallas looks like they are taking a step forward, they will immediately take 2 steps back. It could happen this Sunday in SD. Ripper could be a happy camper Sunday night.

The sky looks like the limit at this early stage.

That's my worry... I have no idea who shows up.

That history of a very good game followed by a bit-spitter wears me out... and that's what I fear this Sunday.

The answer to your question is yes the Bronco's can and will be stopped, history states that clearly.

The question is who can stop them and when will they be stopped?

The answer to that of course is what makes following the NFL FUN!

Zactly. Not ready to crown their arses yet. Last I checked they're not alone in first place in the AFC West.

But they do look like a well-oiled machine so far. Someone's going to have to put the heat on Manning to get him out of his comfort zone. Easier said than done because he's great at reading blitzes and getting rid of the ball. But like any QB with great accuracy, the disruption caused by pressure is key to throwing him off kilter. Give him all day and he'll carve you up like a Thanksgiving turkey. (this post courtesy of the "Duh" Dept.)

I'm hoping Demarcus Ware gets very acquainted with him. He just set the Cowboys record for career sacks on Sunday.

Too early to anoint them.

Saw that on ESPN. Congrats to him. I hope the Cowboys are able to rebound with a win v. Denver, for sure. :)

The Chargers have had pretty good success against Manning over the years, picking him off 20 times in 10 games vs. 21 TDs, sacking him 15 times. Went askew last year when he led the Broncos back from a 24-0 halftime deficit and beat them. Before that, he was 1-5 against the Chargers in his last 6 games with Indy, including playoffs. But they have yet to beat him since he joined Denver last year, 0-2. Hey, I can fantasize. The more likely candidate to beat Denver is KC. If they can sack and pressure him a few times and protect the rock when they have it, they can beat 'em.
