NFL  > Dallas Cowboys  > signing Nevis is another shrewd move by Jerry

This guy will excel in this attacking 4-3. It is time we give Jerry some credit.

You're starting to sound like a broken record.

When Jerry Jones can deliver a SB win, then maybe, just maybe he can be credited. This is the man who said that "any of 500 coaches can coach the Cowboys". How long has that been, and how many coaches have come and gone?

They are now on #8. Just another 492 to go? Oh, and in that time, only ONE GM. I've been a Cowboys fan for close to 45 years, but I can know ineptitude when I see it.

That team hasn't been the same since Jimmy Johnson left eventhough they won with Barry in 1995. That 1995 team still had all of Jimmy's players + Deion so they were able to get it done. Nevis was pretty good with the Colts, not great but he can play.

Yes, I know. Barry won with Jimmy's team, so I, myself, don't give him the credit for the SB win, although he gets it.. the 2 fourth down gambles (that failed) against the Eagles assured him a spot in my least favorite coaches list.
I've never heard of Nevis until the 'Boys got him, so we'll see.

Hey Tx............I'm just being realistic, mainly from all the years of ineptitude. I'll take what they give me, but I really don't expect much. Not in the foreseeable future anyway. Jones can want SB's all he wants, but until he "gets" it, it will likely be the same ol, same ol.

I picked them to win this week, but I'm nervous about it. Winning 2 in a row just doesn't happen under Carrot. The following week Peyton comes for a visit. I suspect he will light up the defense like his brother did. I still like my 7-9 prediction even though the NFC LEast is a mess.

So - a guy that has been let go by two teams is all the sudden the lynchpin that keys a resurgence in the Cowboys dynasty.

OK.

Please let us all know what exactly did the Cowboys attack yesterday? It must have been the post-game spread because they didn't attack anything on the field yesterday.

they were terrible on both sides of the ball.

Or the Chargers were simply better. Denver's next. 2-3 anyone?

The only consolation is that the Cowboys are still in first place in the NFC East, although not much, and likely not for long. The Redskins will eventually get their **** together. But, the Giants and Eagles are.........ummmm........NOT the usual Giants and Eagles this year.

I don't always agree with Randy Galloway, but his column nails it this morning. This is part of what he said (cannot disagree in the least):

Name it and the Dallas Cowboys failed at it Sunday afternoon. Failed miserably. Even a whimper would have been an upgrade.

The Cowboys were definitely outplayed. Absolutely outcoached. Most certainly schooled by a veteran quarterback.

That kind of summary was supposed to be reserved for next weekend when the mighty Denver Broncos are on the agenda. But go ahead, and prepare early. Hide the women, children and horses for that one.

Cowboys play the Skins on Oct 13th in Dallas, they will win that one and put the Skins in a 1-4 hole and the Boys will be 3-3 at that point. Skins have a bye this week. Cowboys will be ok regarding the Division.

If you're making that prediction because it's a home game for the Cowboys, that should not be a guideline for making that choice. They SUCK at home ever since they moved into the Palace.
