NFL  > General NFL  > Vince Wolfork

As the Pats roll along as usual, last night's win at Atlanta could prove costly. The powerful New England Patriots lose DT Vince Wolfork for the season with a torn Achilles. He has been the Pats best D.Lineman over the last few years and is a beast. So the Broncos lose Clady which was Peyton's best O.Lineman and now this with Wolfork and the Pats. Question is how much will this hurt the Pats in the long run? Mother your thoughts?

It's Wilfork, I hit the o instead of i but will this hurt the Pats?

I think the Pats will be giving Casey Hampton a call. Whether Hampton is in football shape is anybody's guess.

He'll be missed but unlike most teams the Pats keep finding guys and have success with whomever fills in. I was pleasantly surprised how they played on both sides of the ball last night. I think they will continue to roll.

It's a habit I need to break. I am so used to the ESPN Boards for the last 4 years I just type fast because they have an edit button if I make a mistake so I don't even proof read my stuff half the time. This new laptop I have isn't very keyboard friendly either. I have to get used to it.

Yeah the Pats are a Brady machine as he goes the Pats go in reality but that could be a big loss as certain teams may be able to run on them now and control the clock better. Maybe, maybe not?

my thoughts = coach/B.B. will plug-in another player [like last night] and get the job done....*as best they can*.

only ONE injury they can ill afford, although the last time they had to deal with it they did go 11-5. Just as well we don't find out anyway.

Yeah the Pats probably will as usual. It sucks all these players are getting injured.

and yet the league keeps toying with adding more games. Teams can barely make it thru 16, plus post season if they are lucky enough.

looks like injuries are happening ''everywhere'' this season,........i'm glad we're saving gronk [knock on wood].

Very smart, I wouldn't play him until the Broncos game - just kidding but you never know about BB. I think you guys can handle the Dolphins looking at it on paper anyway and the history of those 2 recently.

we go to cincy this coming sunday, then host the saints = we could use gronk for both [esp. AFC/Cincy for standings].

Who/What are the Bengals after yesterday??? I am NOT buying into the Browns.

Yean at Cincy could be interesting but Dalton is so inconsistent. Saints are real dangerous but in New England though, I will pick New England in that one. If that was in New Orleans it would be different.

May be it's two they can ill afford with the way Talib is playing.

He's been the league's best defensive tackle for many of those seasons.
