With Colonel I could make references to the Odyssey and Iliad, on account of he consulted with the original author (I think he was Homer's HS Lit teacher); with children like you, the references are just to Homer Simpson. Homer pick, nonetheless

...... Of course, I'm guilty of the same thing. Hell, I even picked the 'Horns over Zero U.

I like the Beavs (who doesn't like their name?), and it would be great for the program if they were to upset Stanford, but I don't see them "Uting" the Cardinal this time.

The Capons will be without Connor Shaw, and their backup is arguably better than some FBS starters, but, I flipped from Mizzou on last week's game, and if their back-up QB goes deer-in-the-headlights his next game out, then I'll deserve the -1.

If Minnie actually tops Their Nebs, I won't mind eating another -1, but I can't see it going that way.

Okies are just weird this year. They're overdue for a dominating performance. If they beat the cheese whiz out of TTech, well, I will have missed divining their game to shine. The Red Raiders are enjoying a charmed season. I'll not pick against them this week.

I cannot foresee BSU @ BYU, so my coin toss landed Broncos.

Utah should beat USCw. That's why USCw will find a way to steal victory in the Colosseum. Illogic reigns supreme in SoCal.

Despite the odds, UNC is due a victory. Might as well come against BC.

Picking the 'Horns gives me the heebie geebies, but, that's life, that's football.

Last week you picked the Vols, even though we all knew they didn't have a snowball's chance in hell against USCe, and...........................

Oh, wait!

Hoping for better results this week. Have hired a new CPA to keep up with my tabulations. The last one was shot Sunday morning; there was no funeral; left him for the buzzards just like the racoons. Live in a bird sanctuary and the buzzards need love too.

Near the top of the world, the departed's body is respectfully placed high atop stone outcroppings for a certain species of vulture to consume.

But won't feedin' CPA carcasses to them get PETA all huffy about abusing the buzzards?

20. Kentucky

'Nuther Homer pick.

Colonel's actually a legendary dude, and not just because he was the HS Lit teacher who inspired Homer to write Odyssey and Iliad.

Back in Troy, when I was only a teenager, Helen was just entering her cougar phase and took me to her bed a couple of times. She talked about having lost her virginity to Colonel, which almost got him in serious trouble. He was over forty, and she was still jail bait.

Colonel and Tin Man, while I didn't make them my picks this week I won't mind a bit if you both win your homer picks.
