NFL  > General NFL  > Greatest teams since the 1990 Season tourny

How about a Sweet 16 Tourny computer simulated of the 16 best teams since the 1990 Season. (1 TEAM PER FRANCHISE ONLY) The teams would be the 1991 Redskins, 1992 Cowboys, 1994 49ers, 1996 Packers, 1998 Broncos, 1999 Rams, 2000 Ravens, 2002 Buccaneers, 2004 Patriots, 2005 Steelers, 2006 Colts, 2007 Giants, 2009 Saints. Only 13 different franchises have won a SB since the 1990 Season, remember 1 TEAM PER FRANCHISE ONLY so I have to choose the 3 best teams since the 1990 season that didn't win a SB to complete the 16 team tourney. = 1990 Bills, 1998 Vikings, 2005 Seahawks IMO. How should these 16 teams be seeded? Keep in mind I only chose 1 team per franchise so multiple Pats teams for example aren't allowed like their 2007 team, they won it all in 2004 so I chose them as their best team. I took teams from 1990 to present because you can match these teams up as in players/roster wise being close to the same/equal in Size, Strength, Speed athletic wise and it's recent history more than anything.

I'd be inclined to go with the 1995 Dallas Cowboys over the 1992. I realize that the '92 Boys had one more win in the regular season, but the '95 Cowboys had more experience and had slightly more talent: such as HOFers Deion Sanders & Larry Allen.

Yeah I know that is a tough one. I like the Jimmy Johnson factor is why I chose 1992 but Allen and Deion were on the 95 team and 95 was Emmitt's best season. If Otis or Tx comment on this I will go with what they want because they are diehard Cowboys fans. Also regarding the teams that didn't win it I almost went 2004 Eagles instead of 2005 Seahawks but I really felt like the Seahawks got jobbed by the REFS in that SB so I figured I would mention them. 1990 Giants with LT or 2007 Giants who beat the Pats? That was another tough decision, I went with 2007 as of now.

I would be more inclined to go with the '93 team. That was the year Emmitt was a holdout and they started the season 0-2. JJ and Emmitt finally agreed on a contract and the Cowboys went 12-2 the rest of the way to a SB repeat. Unfortunately, that was Jimmie's swan song. ARGH!!!!

1993 provided us with the Thanksgiving Day Leon Lett blooper against Miami, but they wouldn't lose a game again.

93 was a BacktoBack too so that is history making. Having Alvin Harper was huge which they didn't have in 95 to help on deep throws. He caught some clutch catches. 95 did have Deion though :)

I agree TX, the 1993 Cowboys.

Give me the '92 Cowboys... they were young, had no idea how good they were, and had a driven coach who wasn't afraid to put it all on the line when the light was the brightest.

I'll take that offense against the 2000 Ravens defense, sit back with a cold brew and just watch the festivities.

Otis that would be fun to watch, Emmitt vs the 2000 Ravens and Imagine matchups like the 99 Rams vs the 2006 Colts we are talking 45-44 stuff and something like the 98 Broncos who went backtoback taking on the 2004 Patriots, Brady vs Elway in the battle of Repeat Champions? Hw about the 94 49ers vs the 96 Packers?
