Another miserable 1st half for Dalton. Only scoring 17 points against the 29th rated defense in the league is bad. We are going to be in for a shock when we play a team with a great defense.

If you're talking about points, which you are, you need to recognize that the Chargers have the 14th ranked scoring defense.

That said, you're right about the first half, and the Chargers have allowed way too many big plays this year. Injuries have hurt them, and their D needs significant work.

Dalton's definitely inconsistent, but he got the job done when he needed to, and he played well down the stretch of that game. I can see Dalton and the Bengals winning a playoff game or two. Not predicting them to be in the Conference Championship or SB, but you never know. It wouldn't shock me if they made a deep playoff run. They don't have to face a shutdown D until they get to the SB. Baltimore's probably the best they'll see.

@Ripper although the Bengals are a very good team I was surprised the Chargers lost as well as Rivers has been playing. Chargers can still grab that last Playoff spot but they have to probably win out now.

bengals defense without leon hall and dre kirkpatricking looking like a 1st around nickleback don't seem capable of stopping a healthy patriots or denver offense so cincy might beat whatever wildcard team they host but nothing more

I think the Broncos and Pats are head and shoulders better than anyone else in the AFC but a team like the Colts or Bengals could upset 1 of them IMO. Any given Sunday. Chiefs are finally getting exposed like I predicted they would. Colts already beat the Broncos once. I still dont trust Dalton fully but the Bengals have a great Defense and they will probably beat the Colts this upcoming Sunday being that the game is at Cincy even though I think Andrew is the better QB compared to Dalton. Cincy's Defense is much better than ours.

buddhaa, I agree. It would take four straight wins. Problem is, the Chargers still have to go to Denver, and I'm not feeling that W at all. Chargers will fulfill their destiny as playoff spectators again. They'll be fortunate if they make it to .500 this season. Frustrating.

8-8 could get them in. Not sure about all the tiebreakers at this point but if the Chargers go 3-1 and lose at Denver they still might squeak in :-)

It would take a miracle for the San Diego . There schedule is to difficult and they don't have any tiebreakers.
