NFL  > Denver Broncos  > Bronco fan goes down in Iraq
February 26, 2009, 07:52 PM
I'm new to this website, so please let me know if my post is okay to be on here.
One of your most loyal Bronco fans was seriously injred in Iraq and needs messages of encouragement. On 2/18/09 my 34 year old nephew, Army Sgt. Danny Miller's tank was blown up by an IED while on patrol in Iraq. He lost both his legs below the knee, fractured his hip and broke his femur in 2 places. He's previously been stationed in KS, CO, KY. TX and Alaska, but has always managed to stay up withhis Broncos. He volunteered to take this tour in Iraq. (he said it was his turn)

We have set up a website at www.caringbridge.org (internal website name is 'dannymiller') where you can read his story, check on his current condition, pictures (you'll notice when he is not in camo he is garbed in Bronco gear), and a guestbook where messages can be left for him to read when he comes home.

Danny is currently in the hospital in Germany to stabilize his injuries and he should be transported stateside to San Antonio in the next few days. My plea is to the Bronco Nation to send messages of support to Danny, his wife and beautiful 7 year old daughter. They will need to know they have support as they face challenges they can't even imagine.

Danny probably only loves his family and his country more than he loves the Broncos. And we love him...........so please help if you can.
