NBA  > General NBA  > Sacramento Kings coach Mike Malone hugs player after he blows two consecutive games

I'm not a coach or an expert. I've been a basketball fan for 46 years, that doesn???t make me a basketball guru, but for the life of me I can't understand why folks are ready to put Isaiah Thomas in the hall of fame.

Last game IT took the team from two or three points down to about 11 plus in about a nanosecond by making poor choices, he does it all the time, all of the sudden he gets it going and brings them back, of course then all the fans and some media call him the great spark plug.

This is like if someone commits a murder, and then, because they cleaned up the crime scene all is forgiven.

Incredible! I just don???t get this, some folks most be watching games through rose colored glasses.

I was really surprised by Mr. Malone???s reaction of giving Mr.Thomas a hug after he, for the second game in a row, trashed an opportunity to win or tie a game.

A hug, are you kidding me! He needed a talking too about how to play under control, look for open players and understand the fact that the whole exercise of the game is to win and not to try to be a hero every night.

I bet Thomas is a great guy and he obviously has talent, but he is no MJ and should quit trying to be one. This kid can colect a big pay next contract but he needs to find some control.

As always this is a fans opinion and from what I understand everybody has one and I'm thankful for that.

Enough said.

Thomas is a good spark plug. The problem is he should be a backup spark plug. Wasn't Greveis Vasquez nor Thomas will make up for not having a top flight NBA PG. At 5'8 - Thomas has a great career ahead of him as a Mugsy Bogues type guy off the bench. But in crunch time, like the last 2 games, they need a real NBA-caliber starting PG. (although if Cousins were playing against the Thunder, they should have just pounded it down low). Maybe we'll lose enough we can get Jabari Parker in the lottery.

You'd prefer Parker to Wiggins?
