NBA  > General NBA  > Michael Jordan not the best
December 7, 2013, 09:08 PM
No I'm messing he is the greatest. But is Kobe Bryant just as good. He stole Jordan every move. Even the way he celebrated. I wish Jordan had success in playing as he did owning a team.

Just wait and see. Bobcats (to be Hornets net season) is a real deal.
Players like Kemba and Gerald is their future.
If Cody and Michael develop fast, they can help the team.
Minimum of 2 season (starting next season) they will be a playoff team.

yea it sucks for the most part, but to be honest, at this point in time, we look better than we have since the year we went to the plaoffs with felton/j-rich/wallace and okeafor....i "think" with 1 more year together and i more quality starter, we could be a 50 win team...

pg - walker ( poor mans allen iverson)
sg - hendo ( C/C+ at best, needs to be replaced honestly)
sf - Kidd-gilchest ( high motor, great defense, strong finisher)
pf - McBob ( next year this will be zellers spot and will be an improvment)
c - Big Al - Best player to ever play for the Bobcats 20-10 machine = QUALITY)
_________________________________________________________

gordon - good scoring punch off the bench
sessions - quality backup pg, could start on several teams
biyombo - superior defense/rebounding, quality backup
j taylor - part time starter, excellent value for 2nd round pick, reminds me of battier

all in all the bobcats/hornets could very easily make the plsyoffs next year, however, i still think a couple of modifications to the roster is neccessary.

I agree with you.
I doubt SG position are good, but there are times that i like GH on it because he can create his own shot.
If MKG develop to be a good scorer (3rd to KW & AJ) next season, i think GH should be a 6th man.

Is the greatest what?

I thought that you had lost your mind their for a second, thinking he is the greatest basketball player...whew.

Jordan was damn good, but he can not touch Wilt Chamberlain, who is the GOAT.

Both averaged 30.1 PPG...but Chamberlain average 22.9 RPG, when Jordan had a career high 18 rebounds once, when Chamberlain had 50 rebounds in a game, several times.

NO CONTEST

PS...the only excuse uneducated people can say is he won 6 titles...Bill Russell won 11 titles, and he says Chamberlain is the best ever..still

Seems like your campaigning, hahahahaha.
Campaigning Wilt on another thread that he is a GOAT.
It seems like you are the only one saying that.
Hahahahaha...

Until you can bring someone to the table with these numbers, I will ALWAYS BE RIGHT ON THIS SUBJECT

You show me somebody who averaged:
30.1 ppg
22.9 rpg

No, Jordan is not the greatest and I mean that! He was the 3rd best player on his college team. It took him 6 years in the NBA before he did anything worth remembering. He cheated on defense by sagging off into the passing lanes and he's no where near the most dynamic offensive force the NBA has ever seen. That title goes to the Big Dipper. Wilt Chamberlain. Michael Cooper could stop Jordan. Nobody could stop Wilt. Look at it this way, "Jordan drives the lane on Wilt, what's the next thing that's going to happen?" Jordan gets "Wilson" tattooed on his forehead. Now let's reverse it. Wilt comes into the lane against Jordan, what happens next? Jordan gets "Wilson" tattooed on his forehead. He's not the best offensive player ever (Jabbar). He's not the best defensive player ever (Russell). He's not even the best clutch shooter ever (Jerry West). And he's not even the best acrobatic player ever (Baylor, Dr.J-ABA period). Jordan is not even in my top ten.

Jordan is not the best and I mean that! He was the 3rd best player on his college team. He didn't do anything noteworthy until his 6th year in the league. He wasn't the most unstoppable, Michael Cooper could shut him down. In contrast, nobody could stop Wilt Chamberlain. He's not the best offensive player ever (Jabbar). Not the best defensive player ever (Russell). Not the best clutch shooter ever (Jerry West). Nor was he the most athletic player ever (Dr. J-ABA years). In fact, Jordan doesn't even make my Top 10. He's No.11. Right behind Walt Frazier.

I would not call him a top ten player, but he was one dimensional...OFFENSE, and it was great.

Michael Jordan made good plays on defense, but he could not take a game over on the defensive end like Wilt Chamberlain could. But one thing you are right about is that tattoo of "Spalding" up size his head...lol

That is the issue...the majority of them, like you, never saw Wilt Chamberlain play...and your mind cannot FATHOM the records, statistics, and pure domination by this man...in your mind there can be nothing better than Jordan...Look at your Avatar!!!

Wilt still holds 69 NBA records...The rebounds record will NEVER BE BEATEN
By my last count MJ does not hold ten...NO CONTEST
