NCAAF  > Auburn Tigers  > Malzahn means everything to Auburn.

With what Auburn has done this year, amazing or miraculous can't even describe their season with much justice.

"Hail Marshall" and "The return" were obvious examples of extreme luck and good fortune that would have changed the outlook of Auburn's season to a much lesser feel if the Tigers had lost those games.

But almost every championship team has a moment or moments of luck that projected them to a high level.

Whether you give credit for Auburn's season to the players and coaches, or a never ending pit of good fortune, one thing is certain, Malzahn is a special coach who took a 3-9 team with many of the same players and turned it into a team with a No. 2 ranking. And he did it without a Cam Newton.

Incredible.

Gene Chizik lost his team last year. The players lost heart and didn't play for Chizik like they have played for Malzahn.

The scary thing is, if Marshall becomes a better passer or Auburn recruits a stud QB that fits the Cam Newton mold, the Tigers will be scary good for the next few years.

Malzahn has his players buying in. He also has them running his offense with such proficiency the 2010 National Champs would be jealous.

I'm nervous, are you?
