1 Seattle - I have to give them the nod as of now.
2 Denver - Peyton.
3 New England despite the loss.
4 New Orleans but it is caving in.
5 SF
6 KC
7 Carolina
8 Cincy
9 Indy Lucks
10 Baltimore
Hot clicks still has the same blurry model as it did a week ago on another note.

Chicago would be #11 :-) but playing at Philly wont be easy. Miami #12, Arizona #13, Philly #14, GB #15, Dallas #16 - I just did the Top half of the league. With Rodgers GB would be higher and they remain dangerous. SD Chargers just missed my cut.

3 and 4 are both way too high. Possibly 2 as well.

Speaking of which, I wonder how Dyhard is doing?

Sorry BL - but I wouldn't put the Colts in the top ten. The o-line can't block anyone, they can't run the ball and their defense is shaky at best. The Pats are too high with their defense and no Gronk. I would put them at the bottom of the top ten because Brady is worth something. SF and KC definitely deserve to be higher than the Pats AND the Saints.

December 18, 2013  09:45 AM ET

I would put SF ahead of NO. The Saints are a seriously flawed team.

And - don't discount the Bears.

December 18, 2013  10:19 AM ET

I think the pats are too high up there..... [bring'em down one or two].

December 18, 2013  04:19 PM ET

I think Cincy's not deserving of maybe #12,and sinking.

As I said,i don't bandwagon nor drink the koolaide ,Ifn they don't beat these two teams?

Time for some peeps too get pink slipped.

December 18, 2013  04:30 PM ET

I think KC deserves a little higher listing. Their offense is on fire.

I would not want to run into them in the playoffs.

December 18, 2013  04:32 PM ET

Me neither.

I already have.

Don't like SF, but believe they deserve a higher ranking than 5.

I feel like the Chiefs should at least be in the top five.

Poor Alex Smith.

Nobody likes or believes in him. His teams are always discounted, no matter how well he and/or the team are playing.

It's like he's cursed with some kind of anti-charisma disease.

See comment 14.

One day the real, more bad **** Alex Smith is gonna stand up and prove all the doubters wrong or something.

Or maybe not. Probably not. Alex Smith is pretty hard to trust or believe in.

But I like rooting for the guy. He keeps trying, ya know? I support his resolve.

December 19, 2013  01:07 AM ET

Keep in mind, I'm the same guy who said Mike Vick would be a darkhorse MVP candidate this year and that the Seahawks were highly overrated.

In other words I've been known to be wrong from time to time. The Chiefs will probably lose in the wild card round, probably because Alex Smith is still Alex Smith.

He used to be the QB of my team. I have nothing against the guy. He's about as offensive as vanilla pudding, which is to say not at all. I didn't care about his near-complete lack of charisma. What I didn't like was his inability to make plays. In just about every season, a game comes along where you need your QB to strap the team on his back and carry them through the day. I just don't think he's capable of doing it.

But wasn't Alex Smith on a really nice run right when he got hurt and ultimately benched for Kaepernick? I might be wrong but I think San Fran was undefeated at the time, and I think that was the season right after the 49ers won a playoff game with him at QB. I think he even made some big fourth down conversions in a playoff game or something...

Anyway I cant say I'd want him on my team or anything but considering his record over the last two years is as good as it is I don't understand why he doesn't have even a single fan.

At the end of the day I guess this is what it boils down to and to be honest I don't think he can do it either, really.

But it would make for a good story.

And it would be cray cray if the Chiefs and 49ers face off in the Super Bowl.

I would love that. I think if that were to happen, that 55-10 asswhuppin' the Niners put on the Broncos would then be relegated to the second-biggest Superbowl rout in Niner history.
