Now those Boooo's can officially turn into Boohooo's followed by some tears, then a big Bye-Bye! Maybe next......Century Detroit, just wait until you get some acceptable players instead of those horrible ones that drop two passes! Damn slackers!

Why the hate for Detroit. I never understand hating on franchises who've never been a threat.

I don't understand the hate for the Lions and their rather sedate fans. As you say Lions have never been overly irritating or full of themselves. Barry Sanders, real class act. Team suffered through the Millen years and 0-16. Megatron is a real blue collar get it done kind of guy. Schwartz....and Suh...yeah neither likable for sure.

Quite the appropriate "nomme de guerre" (you'll most likely need to look that up, just google it) for someone to create an account and come on and start bashing teams that have just been eliminated. Where were you when your Eagles were hovering below .500? The real indicator of the worth of your post is that immediately after hitting "submit" two more random synapses fire off in your brain and you have to post another brain-storm.

To save you the trouble and time of going all "Cowgirls" on me let me assure you that I have no real illusions that Dallas will be able to win at home against your Eagles on Sunday night. Dallas has no defense and that is what is needed to win games late in December (see Panthers and Cards yesterday). If Dallas can pull off a miracle and win Sunday night then the shame will be on you and your Eagles for blowing a game to get into the playoffs (spare me the reminder of the last two years; got it, seen it....know it). If you can't resist the temptations of attacking teams here on your 3rd or 4th post then maybe we can discuss SuperBowl rings. I might even let you go towards NFL championships (be careful here, trick question). Best wishes and Merry Christmas--+45

that's the only reason.

The Detroit Lions went 0-16 previously. Fans of the Lions, like myself, will not boohoo the season. Jim Schwartz is not the man for the job and this season has decided his fate. He does not like his fans, he was swearing at them last night at the game.

As long as Schwartz is fired and they bring in someone respectable that fits the Lions team and scheme well, like Bill O'Brien, then I will be a happy camper.

While it was a long time ago back in the 50's they were tough. Winning NFL championships in '52, '53 & '57. And losing in the title game in '54.

I thought for sure that this would be a year that Detroit and Green Bay would duke it out for 1st place in the NFC north . THen when Rodgers went down I thought it would be Detroit's for the taking after they beat Chicago for the 2nd time in week #10. Detroit was 6-3 and had a 1 game lead over Chicago and Green Bay and then went on to lose 5 of their last 6 games.

Totally inexcusable, yes Schwartz should be fired. This is a good team that does not have coaching discipline.

True. 'never' is probably too strong of a term.

I've got plenty of empathy for teams with pre-Super Bowl era NFL Championships who've yet to win a Super Bowl. My team's in the same boat.

I maintain that the Cowboys have a better chance at knocking out the Eagles than their fans and the media give them.

That doubt you have walking into Week 17, Philadelphia fans feel the same way.

Years of disappointment make cynics of us all.
