NBA  > General NBA  > Are Greivis Vasquez's days numbered in Toronto
January 3, 2014, 09:39 PM
Newly acquired point guard Greivis Vasquez might be playing himself out of this years Toronto Raptors plans.

His minutes have decreased and his shooting has gone into the horrible stage thus apparently losing all confidence from head coach Dwane Casey.

The tell tale sign is not only the decreasing minutes but the fact that in a game where Toronto had a comfortable lead the coach still didn't rest his over worked starting point guard Lowry.

Vasquez only played about six minutes at the end of the third quarter. That shows no confidence on the ACC player of the year.

I have been watching Vasquez since his freshman year in college, he has improved every year and his NBA career has been no different until this year. This is not the same pre-foot surgery Greivis Vasquez.

He just looks like he is still having problems with his movement, he is slow, but not this slow, jumping for his floaters just don't look as crisp, his signature drive -high off the board- has disappeared and last he is not this bad of a shooter.

I just feel there is something wrong here.

As always this is just a fans opinion and from what I understand everybody has one and I'm thankful for that.

Enough said.
