NFL  > General NFL  > Green Bay to play in in 40 to 50 below ZERO wind chill...Should the NFL cancel the game
January 4, 2014, 01:08 PM
For the protection of fans and players should the NFL postpone or move the game to a near by dome like Detroit?

The other alternative would be to play Monday night, it should be warmer then.

Enough said.

Keep the game on Sunday. Enough said.

Why don't the stock holders in the Green Bay Packers build a new domed stadium ?

Why did the owners of the San Francisco 49er's move the team out of town to Santa Clara?

The weather is supposed to be just as bad Monday and Tuesday. If the players and fans of the 60's could handle these conditions I'm sure it won't be a problem Sunday.

And why would GB build a domed stadium? If teams or their fans don't want to come to GB in January because of some bad weather they could always forfeit...

Throw a tarp over it. bring tents and gas heaters supplied by the tailgaters.

-27 when San Diego played Cincy a few years back. Some peeps didn't even wear t-shirts.

What is this, football or softball? If NFL players don't want to play outdoors, they can always take their talents to the arena league.

The only people whining about these conditions are the ones that weren't going to the game anyway.

Well Wishs on yer Eagles.

If opposing teams don't want to play postseason games in Green Bay, then they better win their division with more games than the Packers.

Simple as that.

Gracias. Here's to hoping the New Orleans Saints can't handle below 30 degree weather outside their cozy dome.

Looks like it'll be cold and rainy in Cincinnati tomorrow.

I'm loving these winter weather games.

Real shame the Chiefs/Colts game will be played indoors. Domes should be outlawed in the NFL.

Yup. The rules haven't changed. They knew the deal.

I think it will be kind of interesting to see Jamal Charles on turf. That guy could win that game all by himself.

But yeah, real football is outdoors. If you can't win in the elements you probably don't deserve to play in a cold weather SB.

I am glad the Colts play in a dome, it has it's advantages as well and when you go to a game you don't freeze your stuff off :-). Having said that I do enjoy watching 2 great teams battle in the snow/mud/cold weather, etc.. It fun watching that.

We'll find out soon enough whether this brilliant idea works. Given the weather so far this winter, I fear the game will be played in the middle of the week or something stupid.

If an asteroid were about to strike earth and kill all mankind should they play the football game ?

Saw a live weather broadcast from G.B. yesterday. The said the temperature was 5 degrees. Nothing about a wind chill, because they said there was no wind.
