NFL  > General NFL  > Patriots at Broncos (Sunday, 1/19/14 - 3:00 p.m. ET)

For the AFC Championship - Brady v. Manning - their legacies are late in the process of being written but a couple of chapters remain - this game will fill in some of the blanks. How will they read?

Predict 30-28, Patriots win, made possible by a late pick.

The Press will handle the rest . . .

[pats@denver],......I think it'll be one tough, hard-fought game,......whomever scores last = winz...!

Yeah I don't see either team winning by more than 3 points. Point spread is 4 now I think in favor of Denver, I would take the Pats and the 4. If Denver wins it will be by 3, just another prediction guess of course.

Mother,

Riding shotgun with yer Pats.

I think Peyton may retire after this season, not sure but when you hear stuff like offseason tests on the neck and it may be uncertain, you never know. Colts made the right choice by drafting Luck even if Peyton wins it all. It's about the next 15 years at this point. Peyton wouldn't of won it all with this Colts team either, the team he has in Denver is better right now.

I agree. The teams strengths and weaknesses are the same - strong offense, suspect defense. I expect a high scoring game 38-42 Denver.

<pukes>

I do hope the defenses play well and give both QBs fits. That would make me happy!

But there's always the Belichick/Brady factor. They always figure out a way to win!

January 16, 2014  09:45 PM ET

I'm wondering what Denver's going to do about the loss of Chris Harris, Jr. That's a significant loss, especially if B & B change it up yet again and decide to come out throwing against the depleted pass D, despite all their success running of late.

I heard they might move Bailey off the slot to the outside? Might be a better solution than Jammer (I watched that guy make 3 out of every 4 or 5 plays he needed to make in SD for the last couple of years there--problem was the ones he failed to make cost the team dearly quite a few times) who didn't look good when he came in for Harris last Sunday.

But then who's on Edelman when he lines up in the slot? A LB? Ruh roh. Might be best to stick with Bailey there, where he's been successful this year.

Nothing ever shocks me about Belichick's game plans, because you know that no matter what you think it will be, there's a good chance you'll be wrong. He's great at adjusting when one of his players gets taken out of the mix by double teams, etc. It might be so obvious that NE should switch up and come out throwing (thus Denver plans for the GP switch-up) that Belichick does the reverse-F and just pounds the rock and that results in a surprise that he DIDN'T switch it up. Or maybe he'll do the reverse-reverse-F?

Wow - they lost Harris too? I wasn't aware of that. That makes Denvers defense even more suspect.

Was Harris that dude that had the weird leg angle thing last week? Damn, how could I forget that!
