NFL  > General NFL  > Take some time too mourn.

The NFC-AFC losing teams Fans, need some time too ,get over what happened this weekend.

Just as much as any other teams' fans ,that felt less than anticipated.

I'm sure there's a lot of other peeps that got the same feeling, when their team's lost in the 1st WC games. Thru too today.

Now there's only 2.

Which should win?

Let's discuss.

EZ, how you doing bro? It's gonna be interesting to see how Manning eludes the Hawks defense. He's nowhere near as elusive as that idiot, Kaepernick.

He will be broken in half!

January 20, 2014  02:37 AM ET

@HAWKS, I disagree. To even put Kaep in the same breath as Peyton is cute. I think Peyton will put up at least 24 points against the Seahawks, maybe even 30 if everything is clicking right even if the weather is bad with his Offense. Russell Wilson isn't winning no SB in year 2. It's Peyton's year. Denver 27 Seattle 23 in a fun competitive game. Seattle will keep it close. @EZ Yeah my team made the Elite 8 and got put out by a Blount object haha but at least 1 of my favorite players of all-time is still in it in Peyton.

There's still hope EZ.
From NFL.com:
Contrary to conventional wisdom, 'Advanced NFL Stats' found that elite offenses historically outperform elite defenses. Data was studied from Super Bowls as well as 10,000+ regular-season games and they found that the cliche' DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS was unsupportable.
But there are exceptional examples of suffocating defenses. Like the 1985 Bears - the 2000 Ravens - the 2002 Buccaneers.... Only time will tell if the 2013 Seahawks will join them.
Still goin with the home team.

January 20, 2014  07:37 AM ET

Seahawks have a fine team but Ive never seen an Offense like Peyton has. He has 5 guys he can throw too in both Thomas', Welker, Decker, and even Tamme. Knowshon in this Offense could even win MVP if things are really great with his running ability. If Ryan Clady doesn't go down I am not sure Peyton gets sacked all season, he is the best OT in the league.

GO SEAHAWKS.......!!

What's up Mother, congrats on your season. You guys are always in the Final 4 and have nothing to feel bad about. You smoke the Colts in that 4th Qtr. 2 things surprised me about yesterdays game, 1 the Pats inability to run the ball and 2 I thought BB's Coaching wasn't that great. He should've kicked the FG when it was 20-3 to get it to 20-6 instead of going for it but that is BB, that gambling man!

Brady wasn't throwing the ball very well especially in the first half. Had a wide open Edelman which could have been a Td but over threw him. A few others were off the mark as well.

If he hits Edleman on that pass it's a different game, that was a huge play. I was thinking Tom never misses that.

thanx BL,....... I agree on making that f-g [hindsight]......we would've been [maybe] 26-20 at the end of the 4th , and maybe ''could've'' won.....?!,.......it was a funeral-parlor in my home watching that game from start to finish,.......*MM sticks head in gas/oven*.

I guess the weather was too perfect. He hadn't played in good weather in about a month or so.

i hope seattle show up in two weeks, and there's a ~freezing/blizzard~ going on.

January 20, 2014  07:57 AM ET

Tom still has 3 Rings and 8 Final 4's. Pats are always Elite.

Please Noooooooooooooo ;-) It just doesn't seem right Eli has more Rings than Peyton haha but he still does. Peyton needs that #2 to really get in that Elite convo as far as people looking at him as a good Playoff QB.

I wouldn't say elite. I think they can look forward to more success being such a young team especially on defense.

That is what is meant by it's better to be lucky than good. If not for two miracle plays Eli wouldn't have any.

He got lucky in both SB's with 2 long lucky passes. The one in 2007 was the luckiest catch Ive ever seen.

That Tyree catch still haunts me. LOL. And then there was the one to Manningham in '12.

January 20, 2014  08:09 AM ET

@Tx, Elite to me is making the AFC Title Game multiple times with at least 1 SB win with the same QB for years and the Pats have 3 SB wins. If Luck makes the Title Game next season I will be elated even if Indy loses. It's tough getting that far.

Yeah that was the other one, Manningham
