I wonder how long it will take and how much money NASCAR will have to lose before it figures out that "bought and paid for" fame(?) is NOT the ongoing and primary source of financing it should plan on to stay in existence.

I wrote a long article last night after the race to voice my disgust with the announcers' and NASCAR's promotion of one simly "MEDIOCRE" driver, but it looks like it got deleted because I used names. Well, in this case, it is so crooked and unfair, AND OBVIOUS(!) so no name is needed. There are currently 50-some NASCAR drivers, and some of them are excellent and very skillful drivers, but they barely get any recognition from NASCAR and the NASCAR announcers. I wonder how much it costs to have someone BUY you attention even when you are a "JERK"?? who doesn't get penalized for the exact same violation that has recently caused a penalty for a driver of a different name!

When you walk into a department store and the ONLY NASCAR driver's clothing around has one name on it, the average nincompoop, who never watches racing and certainly doesn't understand racing, will naturally ASSUME that THIS NAMED PERSON must be the BEST!! Success with money buying some of the advertising!! But THIS example is only a drop in the bucket! The entire world of NASCAR revolves around the fortune they have been left to make sure ONE DRIVER gets the most attention!

It is sickening, and NASCAR officials are so ignorant, they will go bankrupt before they figure out where the rest of the fans went! We want OUR GOOD DRIVERS to get their well-deserved attention. They THINK it is the economy causing the poor income lately! SORRY! It is their corruption and unfairness!!
