NHL  > General NHL  > Pascale Leclaire to Ottawa for Antoine Vermette
March 4, 2009, 11:52 AM
I'm not sure how this is going to work out for Ottawa? Antoine Vermette is a very versatile player. He kills penalties with the best, he plays on the power play, he is very quick, great break away speed, soft hands, great in the face-off circle, and has a good work ethic. Columbus has picked up a player here who can compliment Rick Nash on the 1st line. Nash and Vermette will definately be able to feed off each other.

Ottawa on the other hand gets G Pascale Leclaire. Leclaire has shown that he can play solid hockey in goal. However, he has been hampered recently with a bad ankle and has posted sub-par numbers this year. Hopefully Leclaire will get healthy, and give Ottawa the saves they so badly need next season. Also Ottawa gets a second round pick this year out of it. Hopefully with the breadth of talent available this year, they are able to get something good in the second round.
