NFL  > General NFL  > Question about releasing a player that has years left in his contract like TO??
March 5, 2009, 01:31 AM
Hi all, any help here would be appreciated!! When I heard that TO was released with years left on his contract, I wondered what is the rule on that in the NFL? Say TO had 2 years left on his current deal and the Cowboys decide to release him, does he still get payed? Or does he get a %? I'de like to know the exact rule on how this works. If anyone knows for sure, please let me know. Ty all!
