NFL  > Green Bay Packers  > Should have signed Bodden...

The draft will obviosly be determining TT's future with the Packers because he doesnt know how to sign FA at all! He's looking for cheap bargains, then why didnt he sign Leigh Bodden, the ex-lions CB?!?! Yea, I know he played for the lions and didnt do good at all last year, but thats because the lions play zone defense, and, well, they're the lions and every player that comes there sucks. But in Cleveland the year before, Bodden played EXCELLENT, and Cleveland plays the same man-to-man as the Packers.
Well, Bodden signed this morning to a $750,000 contract with the patriots. Im sure thats less than what we payed Smith our new lil safety on average over a year. Plus, Bodden is a CB, an area of need! Would be a great 4th or 3rd guy, depending on the Tramon Williams situation. TT get your head outta your ass and wake up!

All of Packerland knows TT doesn't like FA. He's cheap as hell. If this hasn't been evident the past few years, then this year should be proof enough. Opening weekend of FA, and the Packer's coaching staff is given the weekend off!!! Seriously, who takes the opening weekend of FA off?? I wonder if the coaching staff is gonna take Draft weekend off too???? I'm concerned that with OT Andre Smith's self-destruction in the combine and pro-day, that TT will draft him at #9. He drafted Justin Harrell, so drafting Smith wouldn't surprise me. if TT doesn't have a really solid draft, his future has got to be finished in GB. And with all the cap space GB has, he's not signing FA, so he better use it to resign our current players

I hope im right when i say that hes saving that for next years crop of FA's the packers need to resign that include Greg Jennings, Brandon Chillar, Jonny Jolly, Nick Collins, Tramon Williams, and Ryan Picket.

Plus Bodden was the cheapest signing of the offseason and TT could have got a decent player.

ummm doufus.....we are not going to be a man press coverage team.....bodden does not fit the new direction, nor does Al Harris, you have to be able to play press, zone and blitz. so bodden doesnt fit!!!

That's the problem. If he's going to be a 3rd or 4th CB he's better off going to a team that will win. In New England he'll probably end up being a good role player on a good team.
