NFL  > St. Louis Rams  > FA and Draft, your thoughts

With names like, Pete Kendall, Floyd Womack, and Mike Goff at Guard, and Khalif Barnes at Tackle... how do we not snag up say... Barnes, Kendall, and maybe Goff to go along with our new center???? This way we can use the #2 on someone like Crabtree who would be the perfect compliment to Donnie Avery. Unless the Rams are hoping that WR like Nicks or Harvin (or even if they think highly of Robiski) for the top of the 2nd round. And why not bring back Dre Bly?? Spags im sure wouuld love to have Derrick Brooks and remember that at this stage in FA, these guys wont be breaking the banks to aquire.

If we have a top 5 pick again next year after #2 two years in a row, we better get either Bradford or Colt McCoy!!! Imagine one of thoes 2 guys tossing the rock to Crabtree and Avery. I wouldn't even mind taking Bohmar in the later rounds this year.

Slap, i understand your thinking but it is going against what the rams are trying to do, that is getting younger. Picking up older players just doesn't make sense. Improving the OL will do wonders for Jackson and the WR's. Remember the Chiefs with Roaf and Trent Green. Im not comparing the rams OL to the chiefs but we have to start somewhere. Its nice to see that we have a coach who has an idea of what it takes to put together a solid team. I'm eager to see how the draft goes. I feel that taking Jason first is our best option. If Hicks falls to round two i would be thrilled. He reminds me of Reggie Wayne. Dont be surprised if he becomes the be WR out of the bunch.

I agree, but Khalif Barnes is only 26, Floyd Womack is only 30 (not too old for a guard). And I actually believe we should think about trading Jackson while we can still get someone good for him...can you say Boldin?. That would be the biggest trade since Portis for Bailey. There are some good RBs to be gotten in the 2nd-3rd round (if we were to get Boldin and the OL mentioned above). I may be trying to re-live the greatest show on turf days and just anxious to get back to winning ways but oh well, who can blame me, they were good times!!!

There's gonna be plenty of room to get young. So far Green, Chavous, Bennett, Pace, Holt, and Becht have been cut. Backup Brett Romberg signed with Atl. And, I don't know why we kept 34 yr old Leonard Little either. We still have about 15 free agents hanging out there that nobody, including the Rams, will touch with a 10' pole. Yessir, the buzz saw is just cranking up. I figure Dante Hall, James Hall, LaRoi Glover, Pisa, Draft, Tye Hill, Fakhir, Leonard, Looker, Leckey, Pittman, Klop, and many more are goners. Man oh man, why did we not keep Brandon Chillar and Madison Hedgecock in '08 and '07, respectively? We could sure use their services now. I'm guessing about all our 2009 draft picks will end up playing some this season.

FN Ninja, that is because the fans are as much apart as this team than anything. When you buy team merchandice, tickets, watch on tv, we all help pay for this team. Without us the FANS there would be no team!!!

We are cleaning house which should of been done a long time ago but I couldn't be happier.Devaney is really trying to move Barron from right to left which is natural position. Yes he did have issues on false starts but maybe he just wasn't confrontable on the right side other than that he did a pretty good job you always get a right tackle ehich plenty out there. We need spags players which mean not just one we need several.Once the players buy the system things will be clicking I say trade the pick down then get the best player even if its a rb, when Jackson gets hurt they know we pass don't have a true 2nd back. What ever it is we finally have a true staff and I believe in them.

I think the Rams are on the right track Jason or Monroe now that Pace is gone I do hope UNC 's Hicks stays to the second round man this guy is good Leaping Brian needs to be the next to go a guy like Kevin Jones (former Lion) would make a good back up but JJ John is right Jackson gets hurt everything just bogs down, I still hold out hope for the big plays to return I hope this team plays every game like it played Dallas,I still think playoffs this year, in our division... it 's not the NFC East it will be our division again.
