Louisville has passed Kentucky as if they were standing still. Louisville has the premier coach in all of collge basketball in Rick Pitino and with them getting out of Conference USA and joining (and winning) the Big East, they are in the NCAA's most elite basketball conference.

Pitino has put Louisville at the top of the NCAA's elite programs and Kentucky is spinning their wheels. Billy Goat Gillespie has proven no better than Tubby Smith and the SEC is not an elite basketball conference like the ACC or Big East.

Pitino moving the Cardinals to the Big East has proven to be the smartest move in college basketball in the past few years.
