Ever since McDaniels took the reigns hes signed alot of former pats and put his brother on the coaching staff. Hes also made attempts to trade pro bowl quarterback jays cutler im starting to think that he has no idea what hes doing but maybe its to soon to say that what do you guys think?

He's adding guys who know and will work well under the system he's going to implement in Denver. That's what happens when a new regime takes over a team.

March 15, 2009  06:57 PM ET

yea but he doesnt have to trade away one of the teams best players with brandon marshall probly getting a lengthy suspension he should hold on to all the talent he has

Didn't Denver get to the playoffs with Jake Plummer at QB? That doesn't say much for Cutler, sure he put up some good #'s last season but he hasn't earned the right to complain. I think they would be fine without him, especially if they can get something significant in return. Jay needs to stop being a brat and start being a leader. Obviously only cares about himself, I'd be po'd if I were his teammates.

i think your forgetting that when Jake Plummer was QB we had a solid defense and a decent offense. Now with cutler we have the number 2 offense in the league even with no running game. that is why he has the right to complain.

I agree with Broncos Fanatic. He has a right to complain because he carried the damn offense last season. I would be shocked too if all of the sudden I learned that my team tried to trade me.

I find it odd that McDaniels hires his brother, cuts a great long-snapper in Leach for a patriot, tries to downgrade at quarterback for Cassel, and even brings in LaMont Jordan (another patriot)...it's called a young quarterback being insecure, not making the changes that will fit the new regime. He's going with people he's comfortable with instead of who is going to do the best job for the team. He even cut Bly, and hired another cornerback who's really no better. Sure we've got Dawkins now, but other than that I don't think we're any better off than we were last season. ESPECIALLY now that we're losing our pro bowl quarterback.

I think Cutler needs to man-up.
Quit crying like my little sister.
Do what it is he does best (play football not talk) and things will take care of themselves.
He has yet to learn he is no more than a piece of NFL meat. If he thinks otherwise, he is purely delusional and in deep denial.
He still thinks there is "good" in team loyalty.
His hymen has been broken.
He no longer sees the NFL through beer goggles.
He should be a better QB from all of this.

(lessee .... did I get all the one liners in there?)

The Broncos are in deep, deep trouble. This is total rebuilding. This is the type of arrogance that comes out of the Belichick mold, but it will not have the same results. Every coach that has left the post Belicheat regime has failed and it is because they have no tapes to make adjustments with now that the NFL has grew a set. Trade Cutler for a draft pick( a rookie QB) and the Broncos will be rebuilding for a long, long time. That is why they signed all these over-the hill veterans. They will say the right things to save face for the franchise because they got paid way to much money to do so. A proud franchise bites the dust.

I used to watch the Broncos' game when Mr John Elway played and will be hard somebody will fit in his shoes, this is the real problem of this team now.
I recall Elway in the first season started behaving as a spoiled child, was benched and what happened the following seasons? He just played terrific because he decided was time to grow up andplay
Cutler needs to grow up and stop crying, He had some good games last season and this is the reason believes is a great QB.
Why this guy doesn't start playing and focus in his game? I agree with some of the comments about the new coach needs to take people to a team who knows his system but is true too that sometimes needs to see the personal available and adapt to it as Tomlin did it with the Steelers
I think the Broncos' coach and QB need to focus in the approach of the team and not in personal goals

I really think that Cutler will excel in this new offense, its just a shame we might never see it. I have been a season ticket holder since 1988, thanks to my grandfather, and I haven't been this excited for an offseason since 95. Our schedule is brutal, but the teams coming to Denver are awesome, and can't wait to see what we are all about. Bowlen is getting a lot of flack for this whole thing, but is still one of the best owners when it comes to putting a competitive team on the field.

We may struggle this upcoming season, but will be a team to reckon with soon.

Go Broncos!

What would you give to wake up from this 2 month nightmare and still have Shanny in charge of the ship with a Happy Cutler?

I'd give my Cutler jersey back.
